It goes without saying that SGI leaders are inundated with the Four Faults

"If a vessel is free of these four faults of overturning, leaking, being defiled, and being mixed, then it can be called a perfect vessel. If the embankments around a moat do not leak, then the water will never escape from the moat. And if the mind of faith is perfect, then the water of wisdom, the great impartial wisdom, will never dry up."

  1. Og. After researching your post i have found that the translation your mentioned is from a kamakura period version made from the taisho version. it is called the kasuga version. it is related to the shinto shrine for kasuga daimyojin. the project was funded by and edited by the reiyukai, a cult based on the lotus sutra.
the meaning in english of 'set aside' is synonymous with other translations of the sutra when it states to 'set aside', 'discard' etc. if you read the context of the sentence you pointed out you will find that it means to discard the provisional, as evidenced by the numerous times the one vehicle is mentioned.
of course you are free to believe whatever you like, but if you are not able to read it it japanese it would be best to refrain from opinion based interpretations, as this is a form of slander of law.

    1. So according to you, Japanese is superior to other languages and these other languages slander the Dharma. This is not the only version, but one that is conveniently available on the web. I have found other translations that do not omit essential verses as yours obviously does.

      ( 1 example of many)
"After a long period of twelve kalpas,
A practitioner of the great Bodhi path who
Diligently cultivated the Great Vehicle Dharma,
Named Firm and Complete, will receive Flower Light Tathagata's
      Prediction of attaining Buddhahood.

    2. Og. If you practice the true teachings then i am not interested, as i dont want to become an ass like you. Dont put words in my mouth. Your obvious flair for misinterpretation is astounding. I see where you
      get your heretical views from.
every english and the taisho version use words that mean to cease using expedients. To
claim otherwise is to reject the research of numerous scholars and priests throughout history. Take your half baked theories and stuff them up your ass.
