On the suggestion that I rejoin the Nichiren Shoshu

"Whether tempted by good or threatened by evil, if one casts aside the Lotus Sutra, one destines oneself for hell. Here I will make a great vow. Though I might be offered the rulership of Japan if I would only abandon the Lotus Sutra, accept the teachings of the Meditation Sutra, and look forward to rebirth in the Pure Land, though I might be told that my father and mother will have their heads cut off if I do not recite the Nembutsu—whatever obstacles I might encounter, so long as persons of wisdom do not prove my teachings to be false, I will never yield! All other troubles are no more to me than dust before the wind."

  2. For posterity, I will raise a white peace flag with this single question.

Mark Rogow, author, Would you say, for the most part, enjoyed your time while you were in SGI back in the 1980s as a member back then? Generally, speaking, Were those happier times compared to after the 1991 Temple excommunication and onwards?

Thank you for a sincere and respectful response.

    2. Yes hello My land is fine and dandy. But I'm not satisfied you did not answer my question, which referred to the 1980s if you were happier then as an SGI member. That's the intent of my question, not how is your land peaceful and secure. I'm not interested in your vague answers. I ask directly so answer directly.

And you can tell that lowlife bacteria called Greg that I am still not interested in his sappy lecture on Shakyamuni or Nichiren. He could lick the mud off Ikeda's foot, for all I care. As far as I'm concerned, excommunicated members like him belong in the sewer—not in beautiful paradise Taisekiji. I'm not interested in stepping on muddy I like him today.

    3. what gosho's do you study dirham?

repeat: i left the shoshit around 2004 because i realized they did not teach real buddhism and even more so did not follow nichiren . takano could not answer simple questions about buddhism. much like you. get over it.

  3. And I don't want any sappy lecture on Shakyamuni or Nichren. Just answer my question based on empirical experience as a person back in those days as a person. (Timeline 1980s to 1990). Thanks much.

  4. Dirham, read this and weep. Your priests are liars.
    真間釈迦仏御供養逐状
Concerning the Statue ofShakyamuniBuddha Made by Toki

WITH regard to the statue ofShakyamuni Buddha you have made, in fact you have made and revealed the Buddha of three thousand realms in a single moment of life, which since time without beginning had never been revealed! I am eager to go at once and face it. This is what is meant by the words “The Buddhas wishto open the door of Buddha wisdom to all living beings,”1 and “In truth the time since I attained Buddhahood [is extremely long].”2

Nevertheless, you had best lose no time in having Iyo-bō3 perform the eye-opening ceremony. Have him recite the Lotus Sutrain its entirety and imbue the six sense organs of the Buddha with it. And in this manner change the statue into the living body of the lord of teachings,Shakyamuni, and reverently welcome and enshrine him. I also think that this will be impossible without the presence of you and your son. Regarding the Buddhist hall on your estate, Āchārya Daishin knows all about it. You must make absolutely certain to face the Buddha image in prayer and form a bond with the Buddha.

You once made offerings to the god Daikoku,4 and I wonder whether, after that, you encountered nothing tolament in your daily life. This time, please believe that your good fortune will increase, as the sea tide swells and as the moon waxes full, and that your life will lengthen and you will be reborn onEagle Peak.

When persons that are part of this, or other like minded groups come her and try to pass off the mistaken doctrines of their erroneous reachers, they are thouroughly refuted based on documentary proof. To do otherwise is yodozai.

  12. "EARTH IS AN INSANE ASYLUM,
TO WHICH THE OTHER PLANETS DEPORT THEIR LUNATICS."
    --Voltaire (Memnon the Philosopher).

This sahā world occupies the lowest position among all the worlds of the ten directions. Among these worlds, it holds a place like that of a prison within a nation. All the persons in the worlds of the ten directions who have committed any of the ten evil acts, the five cardinal sins, the grave offense of slandering the correct teaching, or other terrible crimes and have been driven out by the Buddhas, Thus Come Ones, of those worlds, have been brought together here in this sahā land by the Thus Come One Shakyamuni.

These people, having fallen into the three evil paths or the great citadel of the hell of incessant suffering and there duly suffered for their offense, have been reborn in the realm of human or heavenly beings. But because they still retain certain vestiges of their former evil behavior, they are inclined to easily commit some further offense by slandering the correct teaching or speaking contemptuously of persons of wisdom.

Thus, for example, Shāriputra, though he had attained the status of an arhat, at times gave way to anger. Pilindavatsa,11 though he had freed himself from the illusions of thought and desire, displayed an arrogant mind, while Nanda, though he had renounced all sexual attachment, continued to dwell on the thought of sleeping with a woman.

Even these disciples of the Buddha, though they had done away with delusions, still retained their vestiges. How much more so must this be the case, therefore, with ordinary people? Yet the Thus Come One Shakyamuni entered this sahā world with the title “One Who Can Endure.” He is so called because he does not berate its people for the slanders they all commit, but shows them forbearance.-The Tripitaka Master Shan-wu-wei

  13. interesting............don't know too much about this, however, i do know that the way nichiren described japan and the japanese people and their karma is pretty ugly. america is arrogant and full of itself.

    1. Nichiren is saying that all people throughout the Saha world in this age of Mappo all share the same ugly karma otherwise we wouldn't be here but rather we would exist in a higher world where we were cast out like fallen angels because of the terrible crimes that we committed there.

So its no wonder this world is in such a mess. Nichiren Shoshu and SGI are but just the tip of the iceberg. We all have to look at ourselves so we can identify the evil that dwells within

  14. Wait minute, Noel-- don't forget that we expiate our sins of slander by rebuking slander of the Lotus Sutra--.

The ONLY way-- to purchase a ticket to *a higher world* in your words, is demonstrated right here by Greg, Mark and Shinkei -- not for the fainthearted, I agree, but one very praise worthy showing of the most significant practice for our time.

    Thank you, guys !!!

    3. Thanks Katie for reminding me not to cast away the Lotus Sutra by not rebuking those who slander it. This is the fastest way in which we can transform the heaviest Karma. What a great opportunity we have been given. The faint hearted who don't raise their voice will miss out on this once in a lifetime golden opportunity for their lack of courage.

Hope the Lotus Sutra helps everyone eventually if not in this life but future lives see more clearly for who and what we are

I think we all deserve First class tickets back to the higher worlds (from which we previously came and no doubt fall back again) after all the bullshit that we have had to wipe from our eyes and take to task those bullshit artist NST priests and SGI leaders who have been projecting their nonsense into vunerable peoples lives as we have been in the past who were living in a Fools Paradise before, during the (Timeline 1980s to 1990) and after and that have finally seen through the cheat and deceit.

I still have a way to go though but I believe I'm finally on the right track and not barking up the wrong tree

  16. nichiren strongly encourages using the "clear mirror of the lotus sutra" as a correct way to judge ones own behavior and actions. very strange and sad that the sects(s s, shu, sgi and even the kempon hokke do not believe or practice this teaching. again and again the buddha/nichiren teach over and over that one who try's to uphold this lotus sutra(myoho renge kyo) will be hated in the latter age. because of their deep slander, neither the shoshit or the sgi can even read the correct teachings. no good fortune?
