John Quincy Adams 6th president of the United States [1767 - 1848] on Islam

"The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force" (Blunt, 29:274).

John Quincy Adams knew the truth about Islam.

  1. In this day and age, I am inclined o think that it would be much more beneficial to compare the similarities between the major monotheistic religions-- showing how each will claim that killing/ war is sanctioned by their "God"-- In the context of this discourse, Nichiren's Lotus Sutra Buddhism stands out as the ONE and ONLY religion that correctly describes life-- putting each of all on equal ground, in the same boat.

I think that when the 3 monotheistic religious clerics take aim at one or both of their *enemies* we see the hypocrisy of ALL three-- over and over this has played out for thousands of years-- with one or two of the three claiming moral high ground to denounce the third.

Nichiren's teachings are to be taken literally-- this cannot be said of any other major religion's *prophet*-- again, the error in the premise appears.

"The one great truth" Myoho-renge-kyo , dispels all darkness and the evil that perpetuates it.

It is difficult to avoid complicity in slander when one resorts to condoning any of the current responses to the *great evil* committed by ISIS- All responses stem from an equally false doctrine that sanctions killing/war as acceptable ---
