Slander is endemic among those who chant Nam Myoho renge kyo rather than Namu Myoho renge kyo

Those who chant Nam Myoho renge kyo rather than Namu Myoho renge kyo distort and slander the teachings:

Nam—-> "SGI mentor", "Nichiren Shoshu [High Priest] Master in the Seat of the Law" [Zen or Shingon Yui Yoga faith and practice]
Nam—-> "Transmission To One Sole Individual" [Zen or Shingon Yui Yoga faith and practice]
Nam—–> "Nichiren is the True Buddha"
Nam—–> "Nam Myoho renge kyo is the True Buddha"
Nam—–> "The Lotus Sutra and Gosho are too profound to understand without a priest [or mentor]"
Nam—–> "All Gohonzons and benefit derive from the DaiGohonzon"
Nam—–> "Statues of Shakyamuni Buddha on the altar is slander"
Nam—–> "Flowers on the altar is slander"
Nam—–> Not having a butsudan is slander"
Nam—–> "Nichiren said that but meant this"
Nam—–> "One must receive guidance from an SGI leader or Nichiren Shoshu priest in order to obtain Enlightenment"
Nam—–> "The Lotus Sutra has lost its power in the Latter Age"
Nam—–> "Shakyamuni is a cast off Buddha"

Even among those who chant Namu Myoho renge kyo there are those who distort and slander the teachings. However, it is endemic among those who chant Nam Myoho renge kyo.

  1. Well, there is no doubting the ease with which one can insert a plethora of personal desires and "personal" guidance instruction when chanting "Nam" with speed chanting being a 'Yuge" advantage-- if you ask a Gakkai member.

When chanting the two characters Na-mu- one must focus the mind and listen to one's own voice because it is a bit of a challenge to create and maintain the beautiful rhythm of chanting.

Just those subtle changes-- thinking about what one is actually saying and listening to the daimoku itself to create a rhythm when chanting are actions of reverence for Myoho-renge-kyo-- It is my opinion that this opens the way for arousing joy from the Law itself and a seeking mind for the true teachings---
