The SGI and the Nichiren Shu should take this teaching to heart, especially the SGI with their secular approach to violence [Victory Over Violence, anti-bullying campaigns, and nuclear disarmament initiatives].
Nichiren teaches that such efforts divorced from forceful religious conversion [shakubuku] are doomed to failure. One need only look at the actual situation, moving ever closer to nuclear war, despite SGI President Ikeda's dialogues and lectures on "soft power, the Tohoku Earthquake.
