I was unaware my fabulous life condition was "punishment from heaven." -- Laguru

This is the reason we apply ourselves to study Nichiren's writings,
Laguru. Nichiren fully comprehended how unreliable our own perceptions are in the Latter Day of the Law. Surely you have heard about Nichiren's strong and consistent admonition to master your own mind ? Maybe you even believe you are striving to have the same mind as the Buddha, but that is not evident in your statement. You are, in effect, mocking both the Buddha's warnings in the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren's teachings .

"As to the person who slanders the Lotus sutra, though he may not be serious at heart, if he so much as manifests the outward appearance of animosity, disparages the sutra even in jest, or makes light, not of the sutra itself, but of those who act in its name, then the sutra says, he will fall into the hell of incessant suffering for countless kalpas of the kind mentioned above."

In the same Gosho, "Rebuking Slander of the Law and eradicating Sins", Nichiren shares a passage from the Lotus Sutra, Vol 7, where the Buddha refers to the time after his passing and, "warns of dangers from "evil devils', the devils' people, heavenly beings..."

You place greater significance on your "fabulous life condition" than the teachings you are following, which is one of the surest ways to act against the Lotus Sutra, or the Buddha's mind, or commit slander of the Law-- even though you profess belief in "Nichiren Buddhism".

"... to hold one's own life lightly , but to value the Law is the way of a worthy person"- (WND, pg 440)

There is no doubt that the SGI USA has established teachings that are person centered, based upon the most uncertain standards in the Latter Day. Testimonies like yours are quite common, as are your methods for making light of the sutra and discrediting the person who challenges your warped beliefs. These tactics would be called out in a formal debate, as would your lack of knowledge regarding the teachings you claim to be practicing.

It is apparent to anyone who applies themselves to studying the writings of Nichren, which are based entirely on the Lotus Sutra, that you are mistaking the favor of the devil king for benefit of correct faith and practice. This is all the more obvious when one views the condition of society in America, noting the disordered states of the minds and the spirits of the people, the shadow of SGI USA.
~Katie

Katie Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05688676386085212349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2070186063250309253.post-74840709671725051702016-04-03T04:10:33.814-05:002016-04-03T04:10:33.814-05:00This is a new post for the Eagle Peak blogThis is a new post for the Eagle Peak blogMark Rogowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05176132114346404556noreply@blogger.com
