Because life itself is un-moderated, I again plan to host the only un-moderated Nichiren blog and forum on planet earth. Sitting on the dock of Fukushima Bay at 3:00 pm, watching the tide roll away, just wastin’ time. Then, within a moment... gone, never to be heard from again. No one to moderate the Tsunami, no one to moderate the hundred thousand year + half lives of uranium and plutonium. But people would moderate free speech thinking that it will protect them from what, looking foolish, sounding lame, crushing defeat, alienating the people? Why? Agenda laden cowards who would fool themselves that by controlling free speech, they control the world. When they are 90 years old, they won’t even be able to control their own bowels. We, the disciples and believers of Nichiren and Nchiju fear no man or woman, beast, or natural disaster. Our futures, actual proof, theory, theology, doctrine, and hearts are pure. We are secure. Be heard.

Nichiren on filial piety [gratitude to Shakyamuni Buddha, our father and mother throughout the three existences].
“You should put the Collection on the Choice of the Nembutsu of the Original Vow [Senchaku] aside and cite the sentence from the Second volume of the Lotus Sutra, “But now this threefold world is all my domain, and the living beings in it are all my children” in the beginning as proof and conclude that Shakyamuni is our father. What other Buddha is our father and mother? Even non-Buddhist texts teach that loyalty to the sovereign and filial piety are most important. They also teach that loyalty to the sovereign is derived from filial piety. Therefore non-Buddhist texts is a first step toward the Buddhist scriptures and what they teach about these points are no different from what the Buddhist scriptures teach. They ordain that for all human beings, noble or base, of social rank high or low, nothing is more important than filial piety. Sakkyamuni is our father and mother. All the sacred teachings of the Buddha’s lifetime are the teachings and Sutras that are given to us by our father and mother.” — How To Argue Buddhist Doctrine
Listen up SGI and HBS. Nichiren Daishonin is speaking
Treatise On Protecting The Nation by Nichiren Daishonin reads:
“Again, it is written,
“Whosoever receives and keeps this Lotus Sutra, reads it, correctly
bears it in mind, practices it, writes and copies it, let it be known
that such a person beholds Sakyamuni Buddha face to face, and
hears the words of this sutra directly from the Buddha’s mouth.
Such a one thus, also venerates Sakyamuni Buddha in person.”
This passage means that the Lotus Sutra and Sakyamuni Buddha are one. For those who don’t believe in the Lotus Sutra, Sakyamuni Buddha has gone to extinction and does not appear anymore, but for those who believe in this sutra, even though it is said that he has gone to extinction, the Buddha is present in this world.
Again it is written,
“After I have attained Buddhahood and have gone on to nirvana,
if there is any place in the ten directions where the Lotus Sutra
is preached, with my stupa, I will be there and manifest myself
in that place to hear the sutra being preached, and will attest
to the truth of the sutra.”
This passage means that when we ordinary beings of this latter age of the dharma recite the august title of the Lotus Sutra, Prabaratna Tathagata, on account of his vow, will come and be present.” (STN 1, 123: 8–14-9)
What gets Soka Gakkai to take notice?
1. Criticism of the Three Presidents
2. Criticism of the personal enrichment of Soka Gakkai top leaders.
3. Criticism of Nam versus Namu
4. Criticism of the Nichikan Gohonzon.
5. Criticism by the press.
6. Pointing out that SGI mermbers reside in the Lower Worlds.
7. Pointing out the karmic retribution of top SGI senior leaders.
8. Pointing out that SGI is the cause of Japan’s disasters.

Soka Gakkai's true face
“For example, long ago, Hitomaro composed a poem that reads: “How I think of it— dim, dim in the morning mist of Akashi Bay, that boat moving out of sight beyond the islands. Ki no Shukubo, Minamoto no Shitago, and others have praised this poem, declaring it to be “the father and mother of poetry.” Now suppose someone should announce that he had composed a poem and, without changing a single syllable, should proceed to recite this poem by Hitomaro and then boast that his talent was in no way inferior to that of Hitomaro. Would anyone be likely to agree with his claim? Uneducated people such as mountain folk and fishermen might just possibly do so.”
The SGI thinks that they can change the writings and the Law and actually believe that no one will pick up on their lies and distortions. One of the most egregious examples involves the most fundamental concept in all of Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhism, the Law of Namu Myoho renge kyo itself:
“Answer: Now, the Latter Day of the Law, is the time when only the seven characters of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…” — SGI’s tranlation of How Those Initially Aspiring to the Way Can Attain Buddhahood through the Lotus Sutra
The seven characters are Namu Myoho renge kyo, not the six characters of Nam Myoho renge kyo:
“And when the two characters for Namu are prefixed to Myoho-renge-kyo, or the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law, we have the formula Namu-myoho-renge-kyo.” — The Opening of the Eyes
Nichiren says one should not change even a word or a dot of the Lotus Sutra, how much less so the heart of the Lotus Sutra that is to spread in the Latter Day:
“All that you [Shakyamuni Buddha] have expounded is the truth.’
Every single character in this sutra represents the true intention of the
Buddhas, and every dot of it is a source of aid to those who repeat the
cycle of birth and death. There is not a single word in it that is untrue.”
Nichiren further states:
“Where, may I ask, in all the five thousand or seven thousand volumes of sutras is there any passage that instructs us to discard the Lotus Sutra?:
“A liar never becomes a truthful person simply because one calls him honest.” — Nichiren Daishonin
No matter how much the SGI members protest that their mentor and leaders are honest honorable people, delving into their teachings and behavior and comparing them to the Lotus Sutra, the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin, and the behavior of the Buddha, we see their true face.
Soka Gakkai's minuscule benefits
Superficially, the benefits of a correct faith and practice are the same as the Soka Gakkai’s. Some Christians too, appear joyful and have experiences of overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles or attaining seemingly miraculous benefits.
Nichiren Daishonin teaches, however, it is not miraculous events that demonstrate the correctness of a teaching, it is a faith and practice that accord with the Lotus Sutra and the Buddha. The true benefit of being alive is to practice Buddhism correctly. The disciples and believers of Nichiren experience the true benefit of the Law because we practice correctly.
The Lotus Sutra teaches, “Desiring to see the Buddha we do not begrudge our life.” The SGI teaches, in effect, “Desiring to gain benefit we do not begrudge our life”. Benefits and even ordinary obstacles are not an accurate compass of a correct faith and practice. This world is not only the domain of the Eternal Buddha but also the domain of the King Devil of the Sixth Heaven [fundamental darkness]. Fundamental darkness is the most difficult and ultimate obstacle to overcome. All beings have to overcome this entity/function before they can obtain Buddhahood. Seeking spirit and any faith may be sufficient to attain secular benefit and overcome obstacles in the relative sense but only a correct faith and practice can cut through the thick fog of fundamental darkness and to obtain Buddhahood.
Before realizing that one’s faith and practice is incorrect [the faith of a new SGI member, for example], some benefit and power can be amassed. However, once made aware of one’s mistaken beliefs, for example, once made aware of the correct Three Treasures and correct Three Great Secret Laws and failing to embrace them, one will suffer punishment.
The Daishonin states, “Of what use is a lamp after the sun rises.” Now that the authentic teachings of the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Daishonin are being widely diffused and you become aware of them, of what use are the spurious teachings of the Soka Gakkai? Once one knows of the correct faith and practice yet refuses to renounce one’s false beliefs and take up the correct doctrines, one’s seeking spirit and faith will wither and die. Then, even the pitiful and minuscule joy and benefit of the SGI faith will dry up. Happiness in this world, let alone a fortunate birth in countless future existences and salvation for one’s parents, will become impossible.
Nichiren’s nuclear disarmament proposal
http://web.archive.org/web/20110505024732/http://cns.miis.edu/stories/100423_disarmament_proposals.htm
They think Ikeda’s proposals for nuclear disarmament are the only proposals and his proposals are on every interested party’s lips. How foolish! Nichiren’s nuclear disarmament proposal is outlined in Establishing the Correct Teaching For the Peace of the Land. No other means is purposeful.
Which SGI leader is next?
“Thus Shakyamuni Buddha is perfectly just in administering reward and punishment. As I mentioned earlier, because the three emperors and the two subjects became enemies of the Thus Come One Shakyamuni, they lost their lives and fell into the evil paths in their next existence.” — Nichiren Daishonin
Coercive SGI
“Soka Gakkai is an organization which purports to practice Nichiren Buddhism, a branch of Mahayana Buddhism. It is very loosely based on Buddhist philosophy and the Lotus Sutra, but the main practice of this group is to chant “Nam-myoho-renge-kyo” (known as daimoku) in order to gain whatever is desired, whether it be a new job, a new car or a better relationship—a practice which fits in well with Western materialism.
Soka Gakkai has its own political party in Japan and claims 8 million members there, as well as possibly 300,000 in the United States, and is said to have $100 billion in assets (Magee 1995). Soka Gakkai is seen in Japan “’as a very structured, organized, militarist group that wields immense political power,’ according to Takayoshi Kitagawa, a professor of sociology at Senshu University in Tokyo” (Magee 1995).
Its leader is charismatic and ambitious Japanese politician and businessman, Daisaku Ikeda, who is revered by Soka Gakkai’s followers (Dawson 2001). It seems that many of the newer American followers do not know much about Ikeda, simply seeing him as their religious leader, and have no idea of his political aspirations or corruption or the extent to which Soka Gakkai is a puppet of his political machinations. They are very aware of him in Japan, where he is of concern to many citizens because of his outspoken desire to take over the government.
Soka Gakkai is evangelical in the extreme, and “propagating Buddhism” (albeit their brand of Buddhism) is one of their key missions, which is in essence recruitment into their organization. Members are taught that this makes them good Buddhists. “Love-bombing” is a frequently-used tactic in this group. As indicated in the chart below, when group members flatter you, show great interest or respect for you, or shower you with love, you tend to “feel understood or accepted, thereby making the group very enticing” (Myers 2005, p. 275). When people pay attention to us and are kind to us or interested in us, we tend to trust them and want to be part of their group. Soka Gakkai has recruiting drives twice a year and members cater seriously to potential recruits (Pariser 1995). This is a major part of their organization.
There is much fear generated, both by reports of terrible things being done to people who speak out about abuses and corruption (Magee 1995), and as a means of recruitment. As indicated previously in this paper, fear can be used to persuade, and it is used in that manner in Soka Gakkai. When I attended a chanting meeting with a friend, I heard one woman share that she was introduced to Soka Gakkai by someone when she was in a hospital, that the hospital technician told her that she believed that someone bad was going to happen to her health, and that she should starting chanting to avoid that. She did start chanting, and nothing bad happened to her, which she then attributed to chanting. This is a good example of making the person feel powerless by attributing something positive in the person’s life to the group or practice when it could have been attributed to the person’s intention or personal power (number 2 on the coercive tactics chart). I attended a few meetings with a friend, and every time I ran into someone else in another setting who was a mutual friend of ours, that other person mysteriously knew all about my visits to other meetings. Obviously, information about new recruits was shared and strategy was discussed. One of them said to me that, pertaining to a recent event in my life, they were afraid something bad was going to happen to me, and that I had better come to meetings and chant to avoid that. Having already heard the story of the other woman, I was wise to the coercive tactic that was being applied to me, but I wonder if I would have been so wise if I hadn’t already heard that. That someone would attempt to put fear into me in order to coerce me was something that I found abusive and distasteful, but I would imagine that it works for some, just as it did for the woman who was coerced by the hospital technician.
This organization scores extremely high on all of the coercive characteristics of a cult.”
The direct descendants of Nichiren Daishonin are pleased to be without anxiety
“If a woman who believes in the Lotus Sutra should ever fall into the evil paths as a result of jealousy or ill temper or because of excessive greed, then the Thus Come One Shakyamuni, the Buddha Many Treasures, and the Buddhas of the ten directions would immediately be guilty of breaking the vow they have upheld over the span of countless kalpas never to tell a lie. Their offense would be even greater than the wild falsehoods and deceptions of Devadatta or the outrageous lies told by Kokalika. But how could such a thing ever happen? Thus a person who embraces the Lotus Sutra is absolutely assured of its blessings.
On the other hand, even if one does not commit a single evil deed throughout one’s entire lifetime, and observes the five precepts, the eight precepts, the ten precepts, the ten good precepts, the two hundred and fifty precepts, the five hundred precepts, or countless numbers of precepts; even if one learns all the other sutras by heart, makes offerings to all the other Buddhas and bodhisattvas, and accumulates immeasurable merit, if one but fails to put one’s faith in the Lotus Sutra; or if one has faith in it, but considers that it ranks on the same level as the other sutras and the teachings of the other Buddhas; or if one recognizes its superiority, but constantly engages in other religious disciplines, practicing the Lotus Sutra only from time to time; or if one associates on friendly terms with priests of the Nembutsu, who do not believe in the Lotus Sutra but slander it; or if one thinks that those who insist the Lotus Sutra does not suit the people’s capacity in the latter age are guilty of no fault, then all the merit of the countless good acts one has performed throughout one’s life will suddenly vanish. Moreover, the blessings resulting from one’s practice of the Lotus Sutra will for some time be obscured, and one will fall into the great citadel of the Avichi hell as surely as rain falls from the sky or rocks tumble down from the peaks into the valleys.
Even if one has committed the ten evil acts or the five cardinal sins, so long as one does not turn one’s back on the Lotus Sutra, one will without doubt be reborn in the pure land and attain Buddhahood. On the other hand, we read in the sutra that, even if one observes the precepts, embraces all the other sutras, and believes in the various Buddhas and bodhisattvas, if one fails to take faith in the Lotus Sutra, one is certain to fall into the evil paths.
Limited though my ability may be, when I observe the situation in the world these days, it seems to me that the great majority of both lay believers and members of the clergy are guilty of slandering the correct teaching.”
Myoho renge kyo is the revelation of Buddhist truth.
Believing in the following passage is a pre-condition for being a Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhist and follower of Nichiren: “In these more than forty years, [I have not yet revealed the truth].” — Sutra of Infinite Meanings
Then, such principles as Anatta [no-self], the Four Noble Truths, The Eightfold Path, the Twelve Linked Chain of Causation, the primacy of the void [non-substantiality], The Six Perfections, advancement through the Fifty Two Stages of Bodhisattva Practice over countless lifetimes, and the transcendence of the Middle Way, for example, are not the revelation of Buddhist truth. Myoho renge kyo is the revelation of Buddhist truth.
Soka Gakkai, Ryuei's, and Japan's evil karma
Karma is not the only determinant of weal and woe. It is however, the most important because it is only through a correct Buddhist faith and practice that one can overcome karma. Let me give you the example of the causes of diseases as revealed by the Buddha. There are five or six major categories of causes of disease taught by the Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin. All, save for those diseases caused by karma, can be cured by a skilled physician or the healing powers of the person. Disease caused by karma can only be cured by the healing power of a correct faith and practice of Buddhism. Likewise, if we are to believe the Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin, not only internal manifestation [effects of causes such as the causes of illness] but “external” manifestation of causes, such as heavy rains or tsunamis, have myriad causes but the most severe [or auspicious] external occurrences are due to karma and likewise, only through the Buddhist faith and practice can we cure the most severe external “illnesses”. If the Earthquake, Tsunami, and nuclear meltdown in Japan is not due to karma, there are no seminal events that can be attributed to karma.
According to Nichiren Daishonin and Vasubhandu’s Dharma Analysis Treasury, the Abhidharmakosa [which is based on Vasubandu's exhaustive study of the Hinayana Sutras], the Japan disaster was caused by the karma of the people. By the principle of the most severe bad karma causing the most catastrophic events, the cause of the Japanese disaster is the Soka Gakkai whose karma it is to subvert the Law and the Buddha. Nichiren occasionaly cited the Dharma Analysis Treasury, the doctrines contained therein [windy circle], or the schools derived from this treatise. Also, according to this most important doctrine of the Dharma Analysis Treasury [the greatest good karma causing the most auspicious events], by far, the most important cause of the formation of planets and galaxies, for example, is due to the power of karmic reward of living beings. The slanderers with a piddling faith and understanding of the Buddhist teachings, those like Reverend Ryuei who criticize Nichiren and his followers, should first of all believe Nichiren Daishonin and then, if they still have any doubts, they should read Vasubandu’s Abhidharmakosa:

Why I left the Kempon Hokke.
1). Kempon Hokke's connection to Japanese right wing nationalists, Nichirenists, and especially Tanaka Chigaku's Kokuchukai.
2. Doctrinal errors by Shamon Tsuchiya and other Kempon Hokke priests, for example, promoting the Dhammapada, silent meditation, and their extreme anti-Original Enlightenment stance [failing to distinguish between Nichiren's Original Enlightenment teachings and Chuko Tendai Original Enlightenment].
3). Reverend Tsuchiya's siding with Islam and its brutal stance against homosexuals and against his own fellow member and my shakubuku, Israell Isaac.
4). Modern Kempon Hokke's practice of interfaith, intimate association with the Nichiren Shu, in particular, and its practice of selling the Dharma.
5). Reverend Tsuchiya's ill treatment of Jerry whose arguments and eye witness account of the reality of the modern Kempon Hokke opened my eyes to their errors.
6). Refusal to be complicit in slander.
Begging the question, Rory's logical fallacy
"In Kempon Hokke We can be friends with lots of people of many faiths and Buddhist sects, we just don't pray with them. Besides how would these people even learn about the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren if we didn't talk about it?"
It is not a matter of speaking of the teachings but how, where, and with whom. Nichiren stated that Hei-no-seimon was his best friend in the world and Devedatta was Sakyamuni's Buddha's best friend. He also stated that good friends in the Dharma are our true treasure. Conversely, he states:
"And yet women throughout Japan, unaware of the ignorance of their own minds, think that Nichiren, who can save them, is their foe, and mistake the Nembutsu, Zen, Precepts, and True Word priests, who are in fact deadly enemies, for good friends and teachers."

He also taught that there are some people to avoid, to tell them strictly, "you should rather admonish yourself than me" and then get up and leave without further discussion.
