  2. That video is false, and I think you probably know that. Otherwise, you'd have quoted a reputable source.

  3. The video shows that Hitler and some other Nazi officials were Catholic, no one's denying that. It isn't 'actual video footage' of the Vatican giving the Nazi Party a bag of money.

Say what you like about me, at least I can say I've always been consistant and honest. You criticise SGI for doing things that Kempon Hokke themselves do. Mr. Tsuchiya practises interfaith, Kempon Hokke priests charge a lot of money to perform an eye opening ceremony. You say certain Gosho are not authentic, and then you quote from them.

  4. If you are so concerned with proof, where is yours that my teacher practices interfaith? I charge nothing for any ceremony. Your quotes from the bible are as worthless as an old calendar. Do you actually believe that you cannot attain spiritual liberation without the intervention of some man? Do you believe that the world is flat? Do you believe that a man named Jesus actually lived? Your philosophy is based on a centuries old tale that has circled the planet for centuries before your church was ever invented. How old is the planet. are the deserts of the world the result of a battle between your god and the devil? why would your perfect god create the devil in the first place? why can't he,if he is almighty, destroy the devil? what is the reason that people are born blind, crippled, etc.? the list goes on and on. wake up and smell the coffee. your god does not exit except in your deluded mind. it is a creation of man, made to control the masses.

    1. Shinkei, thank you for your comments. I always had those questions growing up & remain perplexed, even in my old age, that people do not ask themselves these questions. I want to keep a a tolerance towards others beliefs, however, when our dear planet is being destroyed, I often wonder if my tolerance is actually my own way of being an ostrich. My Mom was an atheist. She lived financially poor, because she felt it was a sin to have lots of money. She used to cash her social security check and then go to the city park & hand out her money to the homeless living there. Then she would walk on over to her modest mobile home. She lived to her 90's, lived independent until she was rescued by my Sister when she could not function from Alzheimer's.

  5. Hello Mr. Shinkei.

I think you've gone off on a bit of a tangent, but I'll try and answer your questions.

"...where is yours that my teacher practices interfaith?"

    - Have a look on the Japanese Kempon Hokke website.

"Your quotes from the bible are as worthless as an old calendar."

    - I haven't quoted anything here. Old calendars can be useful, e.g. if you want to look at what day a certain date was, etc. But, your statements just an opinion, which doesn't really hold any value with me.

"Do you actually believe that you cannot attain spiritual liberation without the intervention of some man?"

    - Isn't that what Kempon Hokke believe? Remember, Mr. Tsuchiya said that a priest 'isn't the same as some arrogant lay person who claimed to have inherited the Law directly'.

"Do you believe that the world is flat?"

    - I, like the Church, believe the world is round. Do you believe it's flat?

"Do you believe that a man named Jesus actually lived?"

    - I think scholars believe He actually existed.

"Your philosophy is based on a centuries old tale that has circled the planet for centuries before your church was ever invented."

    - The Church existed before the Gospels were written. But Judaism existed before Catholicism. Pretty sure it didn't circle the world, though.

    "How old is the planet."

    - Billions of years? I couldn't tell you the exact date it was created, though. Do you believe that Dragons pull clouds around and make it rain?

"are the deserts of the world the result of a battle between your god and the devil?"

    - I've honestly never heard such a thing, haven't seen it in the Bible either. Maybe it's some old legend? Isn't the 'battle with the Devil' predicted to happen in the future?

"why would your perfect god create the devil in the first place?"

    - I'm not an Apologetic, LOL.

"why can't he,if he is almighty, destroy the devil?"

    - Be patient... :)

"what is the reason that people are born blind, crippled, etc.?"

    - Some people are born without eyes, damaged eyes etc. Genetic problems, etc.

"your god does not exit except in your deluded mind."

    - He's not just 'my' God, He's your God too :)

    "made to control the masses"

    - Karl Marx said something similar about all religion. It could apply to any religion.

  6. I will say no more Mr. Shinkei or Mark. I only replied to this post because my name was in the title! All I can say is, whatever you say about Christianity can equally apply to Nichiren Buddhism.

I do think it's better to be on good terms with other religions, which is why I've said that Ryuei is a good person to study under.

I'll finish on a question: Is there anyone in Kempon Hokke who has NEVER chanted with or been part of SGI?

  7. "All I can say is, whatever you say about Christianity can equally apply to Nichiren Buddhism"

You mean the hundreds of millions of "heretics" throughout the centuries who were killed for their treasures by the Christians? The blood on Christian hands is proof of actual fact. Again, I maintain and agree with Shinkei that you are deluding yourself and you can't see clearly.

  8. Do you actually believe that God is out there, somewhere, watching you Steve?

  9. The Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Buddhist gods here on the Kempon Hokke USA blog are watching and watching over Steve.

  10. all very interesting. the lotus sutra is by the buddhas own words something different from what had been taught before. it is above and different from the buddhas preparatory teachings and it is above and different from the the non buddhist teachings which are less true and correct than the preparatory teachings. by the buddhas own words it is the most difficult to believe and the most difficult to understand(the most profound). yet; people of the latter age like steve milburn and ryuei insist on clinging to the lesser teachings. this is understandable because it is easier and does not rock the boat(within or without). what we have in the world today(including the history of), is nothing but a reflection of those teachings. we as a people are surrounded by actual proof of what the lotus sutra teaches. but the blind cannot see. some say the definition of insanity is to continue to do what have proven worthless and expect different results. the only thing that the sgi and nichiren shu, not to mention catholism, will produce is more of what we already have in this world. as long as people turn their backs on the lotus sutra and its correct teachings, the hole will only get deeper. it takes courage to take faith and practice the lotus sutra as it teaches. many people cannot do it. even if they can only do 10 or 20 percent, as long as they do not slander it, they and things will improve. as a nichiren priest, ryuei is a joke.
