No attainment of Buddhahood in the Soka Gakkai

Were SGI firmly grounded in Myoho renge kyo, why would they need a Code of Conduct for Leaders? We must conclude, there is no actual attainment of Buddhahood in the Soka Gakkai, not even the attainment of Bodhisattvahood.
