Enlightenment is attained through discourse, not glitz.

For years, Soka Gakkai has put on many "extravaganzas", here and elsewhere. But who has attained enlightenment participating in or observing such SGI activities? Who has attained enlightenment participating in or observing Broadway or Las Vegas shows which are far more polished and extravagant? No one, not one person. Enlightenment is attained through discourse, not glitz, true discourse, not SGI "Amway" style SGI discussion meetings. People have been hurt building human pyramids and untrained [and of course unpaid] SGI "construction workers" have been injured for the sake of Sensei. SGI is a self serving cult. It is not the Buddha's sangha.
