“I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers; smite ye about their necks.” -- Q'uran

Remember, in the Lotus Sutra, the Buddhist "Bible", there is not even one exortation to kill and not even one exortation to violence. Which religion is superior? Which religion is inferior? Your spiritual AND physical life depends on which religion you choose to follow, what you choose to believe. Think very carefully about this. Read the Lotus Sutra. Chant its title, Namu Myoho renge kyo. Namu means devotion. Myoho renge kyo is the Lotus Sutra.

How do you then explain the following statement of Nichiren's ?

"All the Nembutsu and Zen temples, such as Kencho-ji, Jufuku-ji, Gokuraku-ji, Daibutsu-den, and Choraku-ji, should be burned to the ground, and their priests taken to Yui Beach to have their heads cut off. If this is not done, then Japan is certain to be destroyed!” — WND-66 p 579 or MWND: Senji-sho

  3. That is based on the teachings of Nirvana Sutra, not the Lotus Sutra. Nichiren, as are we, was a flawed human being. Were you persecuted like Nichiren, you might have had a few choice words for your persecutors. Besides, in another of his most important writings, Establishing the Correct Law for the Peace of the Land, he qualified such statements with [paraphrased], "what that means in the context of my teachings, is the withholding of alms."

I'm sure Islamic Scholars would have a come back in defence of what Mohammed said as you do with Nichiren and would tell you that you are taking the meaning out of context. Have you ever approached them with your accusations about who you say they are

  5. Yes, I've spoken to dozens of Muslims. They too can not find one exortation to killing or violence in the Lotus Sutra. That is why the Lotus Sutra is the standard by which all other "great religions" and religious leaders should be compared.
