"I have been practicing for over 30 years. For the first 9 years, I believed the NSA/SGI line about the mentor disciple relationship with Ikeda or whoever. I stopped believing that in 1978. Since then, my relationship is with the law; I chant and study and rely on no human being to guide or tell me what to believe. The SGI concept of M/D is, imo, bs, flawed, non-Buddhist and for weaklings or children. It needs to be rejected and eliminated in order for Nichiren's Buddhism to spread in America."
