My criticism of SGI and your mentor is not so much their process as their lying and hypocrisy.

An SGI member rebuts criticism of the SGI leader appointment process:

Gary, these religious organizations don't tout themselves as jewels of Democracy but Daisaku Ikeda states,"The Soka Gakkai is the jewel of Buddhist Democracy".
