Were SGI to adopt this Gohonzon as their banner of propagation, it would go along way to completely sever their ties with the evil Nichiren Shoshu faith. Then, there would remain, only the Shakyamuni Buddha [and Nichiren Daishonin] as mentor issue.
Oh yes and the huge salaries for the top Japanese Senior Leaders...
