SGI has accused us of being fundamentalists and they liken us to Devedatta, the enemy of the Buddha and lover of rules. The reality is, the disciples and believers of Nichiren neither love rules nor hate them. In all matters both secular and religious we adopt the Middle Way. However, we will never compromise regarding the lies and hypocrisy of those who distort the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin for their own self-serving interests.
