How wretched and meaningless were we to fall victim to the Epidemic!

"I will follow in the path of the boy Snow Mountains and live as did Bodhisattva Never Disparaging. In comparison to such a life, how wretched and meaningless it would be to fall victim to an epidemic or simply to die of old age! I would far rather suffer persecution from this country’s ruler for the sake of the Lotus Sutra and thereby free myself from the sufferings of birth and death. Then I could test the vows that the Sun Goddess, Great Bodhisattva Hachiman, the gods of the sun and moon, Shakra, Brahmā, and other deities made in the presence of the Buddha. Above all, I will urge them to protect every one of you."

Soka Gakkai mentor-disciple tramples on the dignity of the Lotus Sutra and its votaries

Nuff said!

The unthinkable becoming thinkable thanks to the slanderous Japanese People, Trump, and Xi

Practicing, Zen, Ikedaism, Pure Land, Shingon, Nichiren Shoshu, Nichiren Shu, Shinto, leads to misfortune from 10,000 miles afar and the anger, avarice, and stupidity of our leaders too is a great slander of Buddhism. The South China Sea is a caldron of "accidents" waiting to happen. All parties involved should chant Namu Myoho renge kyo. Nichidatsu Fuji said:

"Civilization is not to kill human beings, Not to destroy things, not to make war; Civilization is to hold mutual affection And to respect one another.” - Most Venerable Nichidatsu Fujii

The Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Confucianists false Buddhists and others have been making war and killing their own people and others for millenia. This is due to one reason according to Nichiren Daishonin: "Incorrect doctrines":

"How pitiful to think that, in the space of a few decades, hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of people have been deluded by these devilish teachings and in so many cases confused as to the true teachings of Buddhism. If people favor what is only incidental and forget what is primary, can the benevolent deities be anything but angry? If people cast aside what is perfect and take up what is biased, can the world escape the plots of demons? Rather than offering up ten thousand prayers for remedy, it would be better simply to outlaw this one evil.*

* Specifically Pure Land Buddhism and generally all teachings other than the Lotus Sutra.

Today, the number one priority is eliminating the fake Nichiren Buddhists who could give a s--t what Nichiren lived and died for. They are the root and society is their leaves and branches.

The prime point and foundation, Soka Gakkai mentor or Namu Myoho renge kyo?

"Fortune is being born at the same time as Daisaku Ikeda and learning how to engrave the mentor disciple relationship into our lives so that it is a living, powerful source of energy and wisdom in our lives." -- Jamie Lee Silver

"When one has had the rare good fortune to be born a human being, and the further good fortune to encounter the teachings of Buddhism, how can one waste this opportunity? If one is going to take faith at all, then among all the various teachings of the Mahayana and the Hinayana, provisional and true doctrines, one should believe in the one vehicle, the true purpose for which the Buddhas come into the world and the direct path to attaining enlightenment for all living beings." -- Nichiren

"With regard to the three bodies of a Buddha, the Universal Worthy Sutra states: “A Buddha’s three types of bodies are born from this correct and equal sutra, which is the great seal of the Law that assures entry into the sea of nirvana. It is from this sea that a Buddha’s three types of pure bodies are born. These three types of bodies are fields of good fortune for human and heavenly beings and are highest among those worthy of alms.”

"The three bodies are as follows: first, the Dharma body of a Thus Come One; second, the reward body of a Thus Come One; and third, the manifested body of a Thus Come One. These three types of bodies of aThus Come One are invariably possessed by all Buddhas. If we use the moon as an illustration, we may say that the moon itself is comparable to the Dharma body, its light to the reward body, and its reflection to the manifested body. Just as a single moon has these three different aspects, so a single Buddha possesses the virtues of these three different bodies."

These doctrines of the five types of vision and the three bodies are not expounded anywhere outside of the Lotus Sutra. Therefore, the Great Teacher T’ien-t’ai has said, “The Buddha consistently possesses the three bodies throughout the three existences. But in the various teachings, he kept this secret and did not transmit it.” In this passage of commentary, the phrase “in the various teachings” refers not only to the Flower Garland, Correct and Equal, and Wisdom sutras, but to all sutras other than the Lotus Sutra. And the phrase “he kept this secret and did not transmit it” means that, throughout the entire body of scriptures outside of the “Life Span” chapter of the Lotus Sutra, Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, concealed and avoided expounding it. Therefore, in performing the eye-opening ceremony for painted or wooden Buddha images, the only authority to rely on is the Lotus Sutra and the T’ien-t’ai school." -- Nichiren

"Now I, Nichiren, was born as a human being, something difficult to achieve, and I have encountered the Buddha’s teachings, which are but rarely to be met with. Moreover, among all the teachings of the Buddha, I was able to meet the Lotus Sutra. When I stop to consider my good fortune, I realize that I am indebted to my parents, indebted to the ruler, and indebted to all living beings." -- Nichiren

Please note, he says nothing about the fortune of meeting his mentor Dozenbo. However, from his other writings we know that Nichiren's "parents' are not only his birth mother and father but Namu Myoho renge kyo [mother] and Shakyamuni Buddha [father].

"I DEEPLY appreciate your sending a letter to this distant place. It is extremely rare to be born as a human being. Not only are you endowed with human form, but you have had the rare fortune to encounter Buddhism. Moreover, out of the Buddha’s many teachings you have encountered the daimoku, or the title, of the Lotus Sutra and become its votary. Truly you are a person who has offered alms to a hundred thousand million Buddhas in his past existences!" -- Nichiren

The "Daimoku", not the mentor.

"...On the other hand, I rejoice at whatever good fortune enabled me to be born in the last five-hundred-year period and to read these true words of the sutra." -- Nichiren

The "words of the Sutra", not the mentor.

“What an occasion for rejoicing! Though born into an evil age that is stained with the five impurities, we have been able to see and hear the true words of the one vehicle. We read that a person who has planted roots of good fortune [under Buddhas] equal in number to the sands of the Hiranyavatī or the Ganges River is able to encounter this sutra and take faith in it. Now you have aroused the mind that rejoices in faith. Thus without a doubt, just as a box and its lid fit together, so will your own faith evoke the Buddha’s compassionate response, and the two will unite as one.” -- Nichiren

"...Zengi and the others of our group have met with great good fortune because of karmic bonds and have been privileged to hear these extraordinary words..." -- Nichiren

"The fourth volume of the Lotus Sutra states: “If there is someone who seeks the Buddha way and for the space of a kalpa presses palms together in my presence and recites numberless verses of praise, because of these praises of the Buddha he will gain immeasurable blessings. And if one lauds and extols those who uphold this sutra, one’s good fortune will be even greater.”

The point of this passage is that one will gain greater blessings by giving alms to the votary of the Lotus Sutra, who in the evil world of the latter age is so intensely hated, than by giving alms to the Buddha for a whole medium kalpa. And if you should wonder who is making such a wild statement, it is none other than Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, himself. Whether you doubt or believe him is up to you." -- Nichiren

Instead, SGI castigates the Sutra's votaries and lauds and extols the Muslims, Christians, Jews,
Brahmins, their mentor, and themselves while condemning and denouncing the teachings of the True Votary Nichiren. This is no different than condemning and denouncing the Great Man himself.

"Therefore, if a woman has the good fortune to encounter this sutra, though she might strip off her skin to use as paper, draw her blood for ink, break her bones for a pen, and shed tears of blood to wet the inkstone, and with these transcribe the words of the sutra, she could never repay the debt she owes it. How much less could she hope to do so, then, through donations of clothing, gold and silver, cows and horses, or fields and farmlands, however numerous these might be?" -- Nichiren

"Therefore the Nirvana Sutra says: “If, after I have entered nirvana, there are monks who observe the precepts that accord with the customs and manners of their respective areas, are correct in all their modes of behavior, and guard and protect the correct Law, when they see someone attempting to destroy the Law, they should immediately oust him, reproach him, and subject him to punishment. And you should understand that if they do so, they will reap such good fortune that it is beyond all calculation.” -- Nichiren

"The Lotus Sutra says, “The Lotus is the foremost!” It also says, “A person who can accept and uphold this sutra is likewise foremost among all living beings.” And it also says, “[And if one lauds and extols those who uphold this sutra], one’s good fortune will be even greater.”

Miao-lo states, “Those who vex or trouble [the practitioners of theLotus Sutra] will have their heads split into seven pieces, but those who give alms to them will enjoy good fortune surpassing the ten honorable titles.” And the Great Teacher Dengyō says, “Those who praise him [theGreat Teacher T’ien-t’ai] will receive blessings that will pile up as high asMount Calm and Bright, while those who slander him will be committing a fault that will condemn them to the hell of incessant suffering.”

Again, SGI hates the real Nichiren, the Supreme Votary of the Lotus Sutra. This fact alone condemns them to the Avici Hell.

"However, though persons who commit only one of the five cardinal sins will fall into the hell of incessant suffering, after one medium kalpa has gone by, their guilt will come to an end and they will rise up out of hell. But, though one may never have violated a single precept and may be firm in one’s aspiration for the way and hopeful of good fortune in one’s next existence, if one turns one’s back on the Lotus Sutra, then, as the sutra says, one will fall into the hell of incessant suffering and will continue to be reborn there for a countless number of kalpas."

Not only does SGI turn their back on the Lotus Sutra but also it's Supreme Votaries, Shakyamuni Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin. No one could be more fortunate than we who follow Nichiren Daishonin and revere Shakyamuni Buddha.

SGI spying, vilification, harassment, slander, and ineffectual prayers

Update: The deadline for SGI USA's campaign to use Buddhist prayers to cause misfortune among another religious group was on 11-18-99. The campaign failed miserably, as was expected by most outsiders. The campaign seems to have had the reverse affect- that is, more people have been reported coming to the temples, and at least 3 SGI centers were closed down in different areas of the USA in 1999. SGI lost many hundreds of old and new members alike because of the hatred and fanatic obsession the organization eminates in their publications and at meetings. Many SGI members have even gone as far as to say that it is getting "scary" at meetings, and new people are not returning.

Because of the failure of SGI's policies in the USA, SGI General Director Fred Zaitsu was uncerimoniously removed from his position and replaced by a reportedly "more militant" SGI leader, Danny Nagashima. This, despite the fact that Mr Zaitsu was just appointed for a 3 year term just 6 months ago. Many SGI members have expressed dismay at the fact that Zaitsu was replaced without any concern for the opinions of the general membership. But all "senior" leaders of SGI have always been hand picked by Daisaku Ikeda.<<<  SGI's voodoo curses

SGI mobilizes official campaign to use Buddhist Prayers to cast evil spells of misfortune on the Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist community

SGI-USA San Francisco Regions 1 and 2 newsletters, January 28, 1999

"If you haven't already gotten your DAIMOKU CARD IN THE SHAPE OF THE UNITED STATES it isn't too late. This is an idea of the youth division, to have individuals chant 52 hours of daimoku for justice and victory by Nov. 18, 1999 so that 10 billion daimoku total is chanted so that all Danto temples will shut down. The sheer power of such daimoku had that effect in New York. Get them at SFCC or from YD leaders." [emphasis in the original]

SGI Vice General Director, Guy McCloskey had this to say about the campaign to use prayers to close temples:

Subject: Temple related Mtgs Report

During the recent training course in Japan, the representatives of the various SGI organizations renewed their determination to not allow one other member to be affected (or infected) by the Nikken sect. At the June 1999 meeting of the SGI-USA Central Executive Committee, the members agreed to focus on faith, practice and study as the keys to victory. We will pray to the Gohonzon that the US temples will close and that the priests will return to Japan; that no one among our current members will be deceived by the priesthood; and that those who have gone to the temple will arouse doubts to understand the correct practice of the Daishonin's Buddhism and withdraw from the temple...

From the Official SGI "Ichinet" message board:
Actually, Paul, you can ask Mr. Zaitsu... I resigned my position in official protest against the current campaign to chant to close all the temples.

"Tell me, why should we have such sympathy for those seeking to destroy the Law? The only mistake I think SGI's making is not chanting 2 Billion daimoku, instead of one. There were also people who needed a visit from Fred Zaitsu far worse than you. The only difference is that they aren't grandstanding for attention. " Paul Wersant, SGI-USA leader

From the same board:

"Every morning with Gongyo, I pray for the perverted Budhist doctrines of Nikken Abe to be totally discredited and defeated. I pray for the demise of the Nikken Sect and that the Nichiren Shoshu temple in the bay area be closed because of lack of support. I feel these are positive things. I am not praying for bad things to happen to people. I am praying for evil philosophy to be eliminated." Tom Ultican, SGI-USA member

"It is time to stand up with the hearts of lions and chase these heretical priests from our land. I do not want any more Americans to fall into the spiritual death traps set by the temple." Terry Ruby, SGI-USA member

This is one of those cases... And since you, a NShu member object to it as well, it seems the daimoku campaign is having an effect. I will therefore redouble my own efforts to chant for the temples to close, and I invite everybody to join me!" Wiley SGI-USA member (AOL Buddhism bulletin board)

"Yes, some members have mentioned using the campaign to close temples. I PERSONALLY support that idea.... Those SGI-USA members who are chanting for the temples to close are chanting just for that -- for the temples in the US to close." Public statement by Kathy Ruby SGI-USA

From: KathyRuby@yahoo.com:

"All that you have proved is that some in the SF Region regard the campaign to be a "close-the-temples" campaign. It is not represented that way in the WT or any official national publication, as you well know. Of course, I have no problem personally with chanting for the Nikken Sect temple in my neighborhood to close" - Public statement by Kathy Ruby

"We all know people going through a bad divorce, or with evil parents, who chanted for them to die. They never did, there is no easy way to get rid of evil ex-spouses, parents, or evil High Priests...I might have chanted for Nikken to die if I had thought it would do any good." - Public statement by Chris Holte SGI-USA

"Based on the amount of needless hostility that has arrisen between the Gakkai and the Temple over some clearly self serving dogmas that needed to be jettisoned by both organizations, I can understand that members should just chant that he would "die or something". I still wish I could lock Nikken on Sado in a temple in a graveyard for about one year, while Nembutsu believers wait in ambush and the snow comes in through the walls." - Public statement by Chris Holte

regarding chanting to close temples: I regret that this campaign was given such a poor shortcut to what we really need to chant about. Since I do view that the SGI is correct and generally doing okay in its approach to Buddhism, I want to see it continue to grow. I don't need to tell you that the Daishonin always debated and was not subtle in his attacks against religious organizations that he felt were leading people to unhappiness. Well, SGI feels this way about Nichiren Shoshu...
--
From your perspective, you should be overjoyed that we have the 10 billion campaign to close the temples. Chanting Daimoku works. If Nichiren Shoshu is indeed correct in it's study and interpretation of Buddhism, then we will receive the negative consequences of our campaign. It really is putting everything on the line, isn't it? Email from Craig Ellis, SGI-USA member

From the public AOL Buddhist newsgroup:

"Has anyone heard about the latest chanting goal for SGI members? Goal: Chant one billion Daimoku to close all NSTemples"

Perhaps most disturbing of all is how the SGI members don't even try to hide their hate and intolerance, blatently disregarding basic Human Rights and even their own SGI Charter:

" I just recently heard about how the New York members did a special daimoku [Buddhist Prayer] campain [sic] to close the temple annex that was near the Cultural Center. Great work! Now the youth division of San Francisco region will be starting a daimoku [Buddhist Prayer] campain [sic] to close all the temples in the U.S.A. Maybe it will have an effect on the temple in Spain." Public statement by Michael, SGI member, Stockton (posted on the SGI's public bulletin board 1-10-99)

I finally got to go to the Culture Center again. It was such fun. They had a little play called Spiritually Incorrect. They gave us a good laugh about the situation as kind of a kick off to ask for 1 billion daimoku to close all the temples. Everyone was excited by it. I plan on filling up several cards of chant time. (ibid)

GI has set a daimoku goal to close NST Temples?

[Marc]
If it works..can we have them ?>>

Marc,
Please join in. I think it's a great idea to use daimoku for problems, and the Nikken sect is such a negative force that I can't see what's wrong with chanting to close their temples down.I certainly don't want a Nikken temple
in my area. I have no problem with people who practice with other Nichiren sects, the only problem I have is when they single out situations they may have had with individuals and blame it on the whole organization, or when they spread tabloid stories around about President Ikeda that aren't true...
The less Nikken temples the less opportunities for people to support Devadatta. Is it true the followers of Devadatta had a small sect that lasted about 500 years after the Buddha's passing? Hopefully, with daimoku, the
Nikken sect won't last that long. Public statement by Maureen, SGI-USA

"Closing all the temples is not a positive thing? I don't see anything negative about it. You are not unlike the hoards of sterile bugs they breed to destroy a species, after they think they have mated and stop looking to mate, they find out that they were fooled, and have nothing in side, they just die empty. Of course it is a result of our communal actions from the past that we have to suffer the likes of you and the Nikken Shu. I don't think the most of us want to repeat those causes and for you to go away and stop causing misery and confusion means that we would have to change our negative karma first. So chanting to close the temples is a good thing and the result will be that we finally over come the negative destiny we have to suffer y'all and then y'all will have some other mission to fulfill cause one hand clapping doesn't make much sound, like you gotta make the cause to get the effect. At a more profound level, you actually are no different than the despots and dictators you complain about. You just haven't been give the power to enact your will to that degree. They have just kept you tethered in. Even when you get loose for a moment, you still stay put. Like the guy in front of the fire making boogeyman shadows and the fools who believe in those shadows. Chanting to close the temples is a good thing. Chanting for your happiness ridiculous. Oh please Mr. Bill can't you just make the cancer happy?"Public statement by Bruce H. Miller SGI member, San Francisco

"What right does any religion have to persecute individuals, temples, churches etc in this country? They have no right and it is strictly forbidden by our laws. Yet an army has been formed to fight a religious war in the USA that started and belongs in Japan. Many people chanted for the high priest to die before chanting to close the temples. While most people in sgi-usa find this disgusting, and have not participated, there are those who do."(From an SGI message board)

Soka Gakkai thinks Buddhist Prayers can be used to cast their evil spells of misfortune. However, no matter how much Daimoku such a hateful group chants, their silly Voodoo curses will never be answered... it can only lead to their own misfortune..."

Do not misunderstand, we too believe the Nichiren Shoshu is an evil sect. However, we use logic, reason and the scriptures to overturn their doctrine and practices. SGI uses every strategy other than the Lotus Sutra, including spying, harassment, vilification, and slander.

Nichiren demolishes SGI and NST Japanese founder worship pseudo-Buddhism.

"The Kegon and Shingon Schools established Vairocana and the Great Sun Buddha instead of Sakyamuni Buddha as the object of worship respectively. It is like a king's son despising his father while respecting a nameless person who acts as though he were the King of the Dharma." "The Pure Land School considers Amitabha Buddha, who is merely a manifestation of Sakyamuni in the Pure Land to the West, to be the lord of this world and abandons Sakyamuni, who is the real lord of this world. The Zen School, just like a lowly man with little virtue despising his parents, despises the Buddha and His sutras."

"They are all confused about the main object of worship. It is analogous to the situation before the time of the Three Emperors, when people did not know who their fathers were and behaved like beasts and birds. Those Buddhist schools which do not know the "The Life Span of the Buddha" chapter are the same as beasts and birds; they do not know the debt they owe to the Eternal Buddha. Grand Master Miao-le declared; Eternity in the life of the Buddha, who is our parent, has not been revealed in the pre-Lotus sutras. If one does not know the eternity in the life of his father, the Buddha, he is also confused about the Buddha land his father governs. Such a man, no matter how capable he may be, is not at all worthy of a human."

"Grand Master Miao-le was a man of the T'ien-pao Period toward the end of the T'ang China. Having widely read and deeply contemplated canons of the Sanlun (Sanron), Hua-yen (Kegon), Fa-hsiang (Hosso), and Chen-yen (Shingon) Schools, he concluded that those who do not know the Original Buddha revealed in the "The Life Span of the Buddha" chapter are like "beasts and birds", who may be talented but do not know of the land governed by the father.

"No matter how capable he may be" refers to men like Fa-ts'ang and Ch'eng-kuan of the Hua-yen (Kegon) School and Venerable Subhakarasimha (Shan-wu-wei) of the Chen-yen (Shingon) School, who were men of talent but, like children who do not know their father, did not know of the true and eternal Sakyamuni Buddha."

Nichiren or Nichikan Gohonzon?

Permalink Reply by Dan Defensor (network assistant) on February 26, 2009 at 12:37pm

Hi Dave,

I would consider that old Gohonzon somewhat of an artifact and keep it. I think it's better to put it under glass and stored somewhere else, and not exposed to the elements. If you know about art restoration, it's best to keep it in storage if it's that old somewhere cold & dry and handled with gloves (acids from your hands). I'm not sure but you should pursue further authenticating it, to see if it came from another Nichiren sect because it's highly unusual for you to get this kind of Gohonzon from any place else.

The gohonzon that we use in the SGI was by Nichikan, the high priest whom we regard as the restorer of Nichiren's Buddhism. It is the same Gohonzon that was bestowed upon Soka Gakkai believers during the 1950s, the same gohonzon that Kansai believers receiving during their incredible shakubuku drive during 2nd Soka Gakkai President Toda's time. Fortunately the woodblock template of the Nichikan Gohonzon was kept in the temple of a chief priest that fully supports the SGI and allows us since the 1990s to give to our current membership. I would strongly encourage you to chant to that when you have members over at your house and enshrined in your butsudan.

Currently as members of SGI, by concensus, we consider the Gohonzon a 'treasure of the body of believers.' The body of believers or Sangha is one of the Three Great Secret Laws (meaning profound, unfathomable, 'hidden' in the Lotus Sutra), the core principle of Nichiren's Teachings. We, as the body of believers, represent the 'sanctuary of the essential teaching' (one of the 3 Secret Laws). We do not allow the gohonzon to be 'marketed', nor 'exploited' in the Soka Gakkai-- thus the little rule about not allowing it to be photographed or photocopied, or distributed as casually as the Minobu sect has done. So that's why its a bit dubious why or how you were able to get this type of Gohonzon. There are also Zen sects of Buddhism that uses a Gohonzon, but because they treat it as an external object, they furthermore put a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in front it obscuring or covering the gohonzon but THEY do not practice with it. Again, the Gohonzon you have may be a copy but possibly NOT a Gohonzon inscribed by Nichiren himself. ALL Gohonzons (outside of Nichiren's own inscribed Gohonzons) within the Nichiren sects are of course, copies, and often 'transcribed' by a chief priest in the past. The Zen sect's 'Gohonzon' I'll have to inquire further about but probably after Nichiren's passing away it probably came from one of the 5 disciples of Nichiren who in their arrogance & error immediately set about destroying many of Nichiren own writings to his followers because they weren't written in formal Chinese used by scholars & royalty of the day, but in the Japanese common script.

Your Buddhist practice comes from your intent and heart. The Gohonzon is already in you. The physical Gohonzons we have is a representation of Buddha nature but NOT actually our own Buddha natures (or Gohonzon in you) which is vast & unfathomable which is our very lives. Your practice will never be 'tainted' but it's best to use the Nichikan Gohonzon in your daily practice (this was encouraged by a chief priest of the Josho-ji temple (Tokyo), a temple that supports and continues to have the local Soka Gakkai members use its facility today as both a temple & community center. He came to Chicago last week and gave a bit of history about Gohonzons). The Gohonzon is merely an external object but it requires the 'voice' of Buddha (which is you) to activate or actuate the practice for your very life. Again, It's good that you're respecting both Gohonzons. But I would strongly suggest you talk to someone like Mr. Guy McCloskey, or Greg Martin and ask their advice about your artifact Gohonzon. And start using your SGI-issued Nichikan Gohonzon daily instead. Please. If you truly want to understand or you truly support Nichiren's intent in 'inscribing' the Gohonzon as he did, then I would encourage you to read that Gosho over and over again:

The SGI Nichikan No-Honzon

Nichikan, the Nichikan Gohonzon, and the Soka Gakkai

SGI members, only see what they want to see and only believe what they want to believe. They have not delved very deeply in the truth of even their own teachings. Perhaps I can help them.

Nichikan wrote:

"We recite the Hoben Pon (2nd chapter) to smash the provisional sutras, we recite the Juryo Hon (16th Chapter) to smash the Hoben Pon, and we recits the daimoku to smash the Lotus Sutra".

Nichiren wrote:

“Nowhere in all the five thousand or seven thousand volumes of sutras listed in the K’ai-yüan era catalog do we find a single scriptural passage that expresses disapproval of the Lotus Sutra and advises one to discard it or to cast it aside, nor any passage that says it is to be classified among the sundry practices and abandoned. If you disagree, you had better find some reliable passage from the sutras that will support your view, so that you may rescue Shan-tao and Honen from their torments in the hell of incessant suffering."(Coversations Between a Sage and Unenlightened Man).

Yet you do Gongyo and chant the Daimoku every day to this slanderer's Gohonzon. Why would you ever think for a moment that you too could escape the torments of hell?

In the "Toke Sanne Sho [On the Three Robes of Nichiren Shoshu]," Nichikan Shonin cites Nikko Shonin and Nichimoku Shonin as the Treasure of the Priest when revealing the Three Treasures of Nichiren Shoshu, and then states, "I say that all the Masters, the successive direct successors to the bestowal of the Law, are in this way included in the Three Treasures." (Seiten, p. 971)

Nichikan's Six Volume Writings" (Rokkan sho) is composed of the following:

1)."The Threefold Secret Teaching" (Sanju hiden sho): In this writing Nichikan exhorts us us to abandon the Lotus Sutra and only embrace Namu Myoho renge kyo. This is bizarre since Namu myoho renge kyo means devotion to the Lotus Sutra (Myoho renge kyo).

2)."The Meanings Hidden in the Depths" (Montei hichin sho). In this equally bizarre writing he changes the Great Secret Law of the Object of Worship in terms of the person from the Original Eternal Buddha Shakyamuni to Nichiren Daishonin.

3)."Interpretations Based on the Law" (Egi hanmon sho). In this equally strange writing, Nichikan teaches that the Lotus Sutra was preached by Shakyamuni to explain Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism rather than Nichiren Daishonin explaining the Lotus Sutra through his commentaries.

4)."Teachings for the Latter Day" (Mappo soo sho). In this writing, Nichikan attempts to overturn the use of statues as Objects of Worship despite the fact that Nichiren utilized and revered a Statue of Shakyamuni Buddha as an Object of Worship throughout his life, praised both Dozenbo, Toki Jonin, and Shijo Kingo for fashioning statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, and wrote about both "wooden and painted" images.

5)."The Practice of this School" (Toryu gyoji sho). In this slanderous writing, Nichikan says we chant the Daimoku to smash the Juryo Chapter and chant the Juryo Chapter to smash the Hobenpon.

(6) The "Toke Sanne Sho" (The Three Robes of this School) explains the origin and significance of the traditional gray robe, the white surplice and the prayer beads of the Nichiren Shoshu priests. Here, he also goes on to overturn the Three Treasures of the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren by asserting that Nichiren is the Treasure of the Buddha and that the heritage of the Law, the succession, is through the bequethal to one sole individual or the successive High Priests of Nichiren Shoshu (the Treasure of the Sangha). On the Juzu, he wrote:

"The Juzu is a means to guide persons of inferior capacity and force them into ascetic practices."

"Juzu require an eye-opening ceremony before use. This can be done at your local temple." (Six Volume Writings," Rokkan-sho, p. 225)

The Ryokkan Sho, far from being an Enlightened writing, is a bizarre writing.

Nichiren Daishonin, on the other hand, writes:

"When the Great Teacher T’ien-t’ai applied the simile of ghee to the Lotus Sutra, basing himself on a passage in the Nirvana Sutra, he declared that among all the sutras the Lotus Sutra is worthy to be compared to ghee. The True Word teaching was introduced to China from India two hundred years or more after the time of T’ien-t’ai. How then could T’ien-t’ai possibly have stolen the ghee of the True Word teaching and called it the ghee of the Lotus Sutra? Of all strange events, this would be the strangest!

What evidence is there then for calling persons who lived two hundred years or more before the True Word teaching was even introduced to China thieves? Are we to put faith in these writings of the Great Teacher Kobo? Or are we to put faith in the Nirvana Sutra where the Buddha likens the Lotus Sutra to ghee?

If we are to regard the Great Teacher T’ien-t’ai as a thief, then how are we to interpret this passage in the Nirvana Sutra? And if we accept the passage in the Nirvana Sutra as reliable and conclude that the writings of Kobo (Nichikan) are incorrect, then what are we to think of people who put faith in such erroneous teachings? All I can say is that one should compare the writings of the Great Teacher Kobo (Nichikan) and the pronouncements of the Buddha, and then put one’s faith in the one that proves to be correct." (On Prayer).

"But those who follow the teachings of Nichiren honestly discard the mistaken doctrines of the provisional teachings and the incorrect theories of the mistaken teachers, and, with all sincerity, put their faith in the correct teaching and the correct doctrines of the correct teacher. Accordingly they are able to gain the lotus of the entity and to manifest the mystic principle of the entity of the Land of Eternally Tranquil Light. This is because they put their faith in the golden words of the Buddha indicated in the “Life Span” chapter of the essential teaching and chant Namu-myoho-renge-kyo."(Entity of the Mystic Law)

Since the SGI fails, on this one vital criteria of putting "their faith in the golden words of the Buddha indicated in the “Life Span” chapter of the essential teaching", their land is the land of devils and hardships and not the Land of Eternally Quiescent Light. Wherever the teachings of the SGI spread, the people suffer and more tragedies and calamities occur. On the other hand, even one true practicer of the Lotus Sutra in a city or a country will bring good fortune and peace to the people.

Nichikan also wrote:

"The three groups of shomon disciples
accumulated good fortune since sanzen
jintengo [before being guaranteed
enlightenment), and those who received
the seed and reached enlightenment on
hearing the first chapter of the Lotus
Sutra accumulated good fortune since
Gohyaku jintengo. How possibly could
those who first received the seed during
the lifetime of the Buddha all without
exception achieve enlightenment in a
mere two-thousand years? [They
couldn't!] The reason is this: the
effectiveness of Shakyamuni's teachings
begins at Kuon Ganjo, but ends with the
two-thousand years of the Former and
Middle Days of the Law. ... Therefore
the people of the Latter Day of the Law
all innately have yet to possess the seed
and so are of the capacity to receive the
original seed of enlightenment directly."
(Rokkan-sho, p.110)

Who can understand such nonsense? He is like the SGI leaders. He just makes things up out of thin air. What ever pops into his head he writes and calls it the True Teachings. Nichiren says about such men who fail to preach with Sutra in hand, even though they be great bodhisattvas, don't listen to them. Nichikan wasn't even a Bodhisattva. He was a madman and he inscribed the Gohonzon to which SGI members fuse. How could every last member of the SGI fail to become a madman? Here is more proof.

Nichikan writes in his Montei Hichin-Sho ["The Teachings Hidden in the Depths of the Text"]:

"Therefore know this: *"One of Perfect Freedom"* is His true state (honchi). Bodhisattva Jogyo is His transient reflection. And Nichiren is the manifestation of His true state (kenpon).

Nichiren Daishonin never revealed it and he never held back anything. Nichiren Shonin teaches that his true identity is that of Jogyo and hidden in the depths of the Juryohon is that he, as well as we, are Three Bodied Tathagatas, one with the Original Eternal Buddha Shakyamuni, our original teacher.

The Juryo (16) and Jinriki Chapters (21) of the Lotus Sutra and the Goshos, the Entity of the Mystic Law (Totaigi Sho), The Opening of the Eyes, The True Object of Worship, and Repaying Debts of Gratitude, explain why the Nichikan Gohonzon is a demon infested condition for the ruin of the individual, the nation, and the world.

'I likewise am the Father of the World,
The One who saves
from the various sufferings and travails" (Lotus Sutra Chapter 16)

"At that time the Buddha spoke to Superior Practices and the others in the great assembly of bodhisattvas, saying: "The supernatural powers of the Buddhas, as you have seen, are immeasurable, boundless, inconceivable. If in the process of entrusting this sutra to others I were to employ these supernatural powers for a immeasurable, boundless hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, millions of asamkhya kalpas to describe the benefits of the sutra, I could never finish doing so. To put it briefly, all the doctrines possessed by the Thus Come One, the storehouse of all the secret essentials of the Thus Come One - all these are proclaimed, revealed, and clearly expounded in this sutra. (Lotus Sutra Chapter 21)

Nichiren comments on this passage:

Answer: In this passage, Shakyamuni Buddha explains that he is entrusting to the Bodhisattvas of the Earth, his original disciples, the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo, which is the essence of the Lotus Sutra. Shakyamuni, who attained enlightenment countless kalpas in the past, says elsewhere, "By now the original vows that I made have already been fulfilled. I have converted all living beings and caused them all to enter the Buddha way." Thus, he has already fulfilled his earlier vow. Then, intending to charge his disciples with the task of accomplishing widespread propagation in the fifth five hundred years after his death," he called forth the Bodhisattvas of the Earth and entrusted them with the heart of the sutra, the lotus of the entity of the essential teaching. This passage represents the ultimate purpose for which Shakyamuni Buddha appeared in the world, the secret Law that he attained in the place of meditation. It is this passage that gives proof of the lotus of the entity that, for those of us who live in the Latter Day of the Law, assures the attainment of Buddhahood in both the present and future."

Accordingly, at the present time in the Latter Day of the Law, other than the envoy of the Thus Come One, there can be no one who understands and produces this passage as proof of the lotus of the entity. Truly it is a passage of secret meaning. Truly it is a matter of great concern. Truly it is to be honored and admired. Namu-myoho-renge-kyo, Namu-myoho-renge-kyo!" (Entity of the Mystic Law)

"Answer: 'One: Japan and so on to the whole of Jambudvipa should uniformly take the Master of teachings Lord Shakya of the Original Doctrine as the Object of Worship." (Repaying Debts of Gratitude)

Now, when the Eternal Buddha was revealed in the essential section of the Lotus Sutra, this world of endurance (Saha-world) became the Eternal Pure Land, indestructible even by the three calamities of conflagration, flooding, and strong winds, which are said to destroy the world. It transcends the four periods of cosmic change: the kalpa of construction, continuance, destruction and emptiness. Sakyamuni Buddha, the Lord-preacher of this pure land, has never died in the past, nor will He be born in the future. He exists forever throughout the past present and future. All those who receive His guidance are one with this Eternal Buddha. (Opening of the Eyes)

In the same chapter, another passage reads: ‘The duration of My Life, which I obtained through the practice of the way of bodhisattvas, has not yet expired. It is twice as long as the length of time stated above: 500 dust-particle kalpa.’ This reveals the bodhisattva realm within our minds. The bodhisattvas described in the fifteenth chapter, ‘Appearance of Bodhisattvas from Underground,’ who have sprung out of the great earth, as numerous as the number of dust-particles of 1,000 worlds, are followers of the Original Buddha Sakyamuni who resides within our minds." (The True Object of Worship)

Nichikan asked us to abandon Shakyamuni Buddha and the Lotus Sutra. This is the purport of his Object of Worship. The Nichikan Gohonzon is neither based on the Lotus Sutra (Myoho renge kyo) nor on Shakyamuni Buddha of the Juryo Chapter of the Lotus Sutra. It is not based on the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin. Chanting to this Gohonzon is as if you were to take and revere the offering of a sumptuous meal from the murderer of your parents or praising the one who has kidnapped your child. You along with the offender (Nichikan) will both fall into the Lower Realms and the Sutra's promise of peace and security in this life and a fortunate birth in the next will allude you.

Further Proof of my assertion is the fact that SGI would take up this Gohonzon as their banner of propagation in the first place; the bizarre worldview of the SGI where Daisaku Ikeda is revered and praised at the expense of the Sutra, the Buddha, and Nichiren Daishonin; the misfortune that invariably befalls its leaders; and the lack of insight of the general members.

At the very least, the Nichikan No-honzon is the “banner of propagation of the Soka Gakkai.” Why would anyone who disassociates from the Soka Gakkai embrace the Soka Gakkai banner of propagation? It is as if the US founding fathers would have continued to hold high the flag of England.

Fluffy and Myoho escape

Someone left our door open and Fluffy the wolf and his girlfriend Myoho the Great Pyrenees escaped. My wife and I love them like our own children. She chanted Namu Myoho renge kyo for an hour and the moment she finished chanting she opened the door... Fluffy and Myoho ran  back into the house. My wife was elated and gave them some treats.

Nichiren and the synchronicity of the Law

"The rivers have been rising for ninety days, landslides have occurred, paths are blocked, and no one can come or go. Just when our food supplies had run out and I thought my time had come, you presented this assortment of items, satisfied the hunger of the Lotus Sutra, and even saved the life of Shakyamuni Buddha. You can only guess at your good fortune. I will write you again in greater detail." -- Nichiren

We can expect the very same benefit as Nichiren should we embrace the same faith and practice as he.

Soka Gakkai and Nichiren Shoshu founder worship pseudo-Buddhism

Nichiren's own words smash the logic of NST's and SGI's switch from Nichiren's Lotus Sutra Buddhism to Japanese Founder Worship.

"Artifact Gohonzon" versus SGI Nichikan No-Honzon

The SGI Wizard of Oz by lilikum

"I've got it! Daisaku Ikeda can be the wonderful wizard. Dorothy represents the Ikeda cult membership, and the wicked witch can be the high priest of Nichiren Shoshu. The tin man, scarecrow, and the courageous lion represent the Soka Spirit leadership.

It would go something like this: Dorothy gets whisked away from her "home" (representing enlightenment) by the e-e-e-e-vil wicked high priest. The Ikeda cult senior leaders, who play the munchkins, and Glinda the good witch, who is Danny Nagashima tell Dorothy to follow the yellow brick road to the wonderful wizard. The road would be paved with pages from the world tribune. The evil apple trees who represent the dantos will throw apples at Dorothy and the SS trio who will magically transform themselves into the fruit of enlightenment. Then the e-e-e-evil high priest makes them sleepy and they lose all ichinen to fight. But Danny boy appears in Glinda the good witches gown and showers them with sensei's guidance to fight! fight! fight! and defeat the e-e-e-e-e-vil Nikken!

They wake up and finally arrive in the Emerald City, which represents a culture festival. They go to SGI HQ Castle. They explain that Daisaku Ikeda gave them guidance to come and they are allowed in. Inside is a huge big screen Mitsubishi TV with Ikeda's face on it, telling them they must first kill the wicked witch before Dorothy can go "home." So, they go to temple, the domain of the wicked witch. On the way, flying monkeys, who represent the Nichiren Shoshu members, steal Toto from Dorothy and she gets very sad, but very very angry. Dorothy finally arrives at the temple, and to make a long story longer, she kills the wicked witch, shakubukus all the temple guards and members, and rescues the DaiGohonzon, to bring to Daisaku Ikeda. But when they arrive, they say "come back tomorrow." Toto runs over and pulls back a curtain, revealing that Daisaku Ikeda is just a common mortal. But Daisaku explains that he didn't really lie- he just had to use an expedient to get them to realize that they had the power all along for enlightenment.

They were so thrilled that they hung up portraits of the Wizard, and even sang songs in praise of him. They had accepted the wizard into their hearts, and wanted to be the same mind as he, even though they only met him once. They read his weekly guidance and even made daily prayers to him. Because of him, Dorothy was able to find home."

Good Morning,

"Each day I will present a summary of today's teleconference with our General Director Danny Nagahshima. I wanted to once again give you a history to these daily teleconferences. As you know on February 13th of this year Danny, Tariq, Guy, and Richard Sasaki met with Sensei. It was at that historic meeting that they vowed to accomplish 500,000 new households in SGI-USA by the year 2010. From that moment on an incredible transformation took place in the SGI-USA. Sensei has taken the direct leadership of SGI-USA. And, much guidance has been given to SGI-USA since then to help us build a fantastic movement. For example President Akiya urged us to gather the names of all of the guests who have been to our meetings and begin visiting them as well as contacting those members who have received the Gohonzon over the years and are no longer practicing within SGI-USA. President Akiya said in Japan the name lists are never discarded. They are precious names of people’s lives."

Daisaku Ikeda preaches his own fictions

Daisaku Ikeda teaches:

"According to T'ien-t'ai, the benefit of the Buddha specifically consists of the Buddha's three bodies or enlightened properties: the Dharma body or property of the Law (the truth to which the Buddha is enlightened), the bliss body or property of wisdom (the wisdom the Buddha has attained), and the manifested body or property of action (the physical form in which the Buddha appears in this world and his compassionate actions). And he clarifies that the true Buddha - who dwells in this world eternally and possesses the virtue of these three properties - is Shakyamuni who attained enlightenment in the remote past of gohyaku-jintengo.

By contrast, from the standpoint of the Daishonin's Buddhism, the fundamental source of the benefit of the eternal Buddha endowed with the three enlightened properties is Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. The benefit of the Buddha who attained enlightenment in the remote past derives from Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

Therefore, the Daishonin indicates that the title of the "Life Span" chapter should be read "Life Span of the Nam-myoho-renge-kyo Thus Come One" (Gosho Zenshu, p. 752)."

Reply:

Nichiren never once in 55 years wrote Nam Myoho renge kyo. Since this is true, this must be a forged or altered text and in fact, it is from the fake Ongi Kuden. Taking into account the entire authenticated canon of Nichiren Daishonin, especially the Five Major Works, we clearly see that the Soka Gakkai preaches its own fictions.

"Shakyamuni Buddha also extended his tongue, which is incapable of telling falsehoods, until it reached the highest heaven in the world of form, saying that in the last five-hundred-year period after his passing, when the entire body of Buddhist doctrine would be about to disappear, Bodhisattva Superior Practices would come forward with the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo and administer them as good medicine to those afflicted with white leprosy— that is, persons of incorrigible disbelief and those who slander the Law." -- The Selection of the Time.

"In the “Life Span” chapter of the Lotus Sutra, the Buddha says, “Sometimes I speak of myself, sometimes of others.” The Buddha Good Virtue of the eastern region, the Thus Come One Mahāvairochana of the center, the Buddhas of the ten directions, the seven Buddhas of the past, the Buddhas of the three existences, Bodhisattva Superior Practices and the other bodhisattvas, Manjushrī, Shāriputra and the others, the great heavenly king Brahmā, the devil king of the sixth heaven, the heavenly king Shakra Devānām Indra, the sun god, the moon god, the morning star god, the seven stars of the Big Dipper, the twenty-eight constellations, the five planets, the seven stars, the countless eighty-four thousand other stars, the asura kings, the heavenly gods, earthly gods, gods of the mountains, gods of the seas, household gods, village gods, and the rulers of all the various countries of the world—not one of these is other than [a provisional manifestation of] Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings! The Sun Goddess, Great Bodhisattva Hachiman—both these in their original form are Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings." -- Concerning the Statue of Shakyamuni Buddha Fashioned by Shijo Kingo

Soka Gakkai does the twist

"Shariputra, ever since I attained Buddhahood I have through various causes and various similes widely expounded my teachings and have used countless expedient means to guide living beings and cause them to renounce their attachments."-- Lotus Sutra Chapter 2

"In terms of the Daishonin's Buddhism, therefore, the phrase "cause them to renounce their attachments" should be interpreted as meaning "cause them to become enlightened concerning their attachments." It's not a matter of eradicating attachments but of seeing them clearly. In other words, rather than causing us to abandon our earthly desires and attachments, our Buddhist practice enables us to discern their true nature and utilize them as the driving force to become happy." -- Daisaku Ikeda

Whenever you hear Ikeda, an SGI leader, or member say "He [the Buddha] means", "It [Lotus Sutra] means", or Nichiren Daishonin means", you may be sure, you may be absolutely certain that the Buddha, Lotus Sutra, and Nichiren Daishonin mean exactly as they state and the low life conditioned Ikeda and Gakkai leaders are hell bent on undermining Nichiren Daishonin's Lotus Sutra Buddhism.

Come on, baby, let's do the twist

Come on, baby, let's do the twist
Take Sensei by the hand and go like this

Yeah, twist, baby, baby
Twist, ooh yeah, just like this
Come on, little miss YWD, and do the twist

Shakyamuni's sleepin' and Nichiren ain't around
Yeah, Shakyamuni's just sleepin' and Nichiren ain't around
We're gonna twisty, twisty, twisty
Till we tear their Buddhism down

Come on and twist, yeah, baby
Twist, ooh yeah, just like this
Come on, little miss YWD, and do the twist, yeah

Yeah, you should see my little Kaneko
You should see my, my little Kaneko
She really knows how to rock
She too knows how to twist

Come on and twist, yeah, baby
Twist, ooh yeah, just like this
Come on, little miss Kaneko, do the twist

Yeah, rock on now
Yeah, twist on now, twist

Nichiren's wish

"All I wish is that you will embrace this sutra and cast your name upon the sea of the vows made by the Buddhas of the ten directions, that you entrust your honor to the heaven that is the compassion of the bodhisattvas of the three existences. One who thus embraces the Lotus Sutra will cause the heavenly gods, dragons, and the others of the eight kinds of nonhuman beings, as well as all the great bodhisattvas, to become one’s followers. Not only that, but that person’s physical body, still in the process of forming causes for achieving Buddhahood, will acquire the Buddha eye of one who has perfected that course; and this ordinary flesh that exists in the realm of the conditioned will put on the holy garments of the unconditioned. Then one need never fear the three paths or tremble before the eight difficulties. One will ascend to the peak of the mountain of the seven expedients and sweep away the clouds of the nine worlds. Flowers will bloom in the garden of immaculate earth, and the moon will shine brightly in the sky of the Dharma nature. One can rely on the passage that promises, “Such a person assuredly and without doubt will attain the Buddha way,” and there is no question about the Buddha’s pronouncement that “I am the only person who can rescue and protect others.” -- Nichiren
