"Why don't I get it"

Question: Why don't I realize that my ultimate teacher is Shakyamuni Buddha of the Juryo Chapter of the Lotus Sutra? 

Answer: There are several reasons. The first is that it is most difficult to believe and most difficult to understand and only a Buddha with a Buddha can fully understand. The second reason is, one hasn't done sufficient study of the doctrines of Nichiren Daishonin or if one has studied well the doctrines, one has insufficient faith to believe as Nichiren teaches. Lastly, one doesn't realize that the Gohonzon is the Master of Teachings, Lord Shakya  of the Juryo Chapter.  However, as long as one chants Namu Myoho renge kyo with one's whole heart, eventually, one will come to believe as the Master Nichiren.

I would say, such men as Daisaku Ikeda of the Soka Gakkai and High Priest Nichinyo of the Nichiren Shoshu are faithless individuals. They are to be pitied. We are not emanations of these men, we are emanations of the Eternal Buddha.
