"T’ien-t’ai asserted, 'That which has a profound doctrine and accords with the sutras is to be written down and made available. But put no faith in anything that in word or meaning fails to do so. 'He also said, 'All assertions that lack scriptural proof are to be branded as false.' How would you interpret such statements?" -- Questions and Answers about Embracing the Lotus Sutra
Josei Toda's and Daisaku Ikeda's teachings on many things lack scriptural proof. Also, Daisaku Ikeda's teachings are inconsistant.

open dialogue with anyone who engages me
not your practice obviously
I have more dialogues (and debates) on this blog than you have in your 40 years of chanting. You are, for the most part, mean and nasty Anonymous Katie??? Is that your idea of open dialogue? You fool yourself. Maybe you need to chant no less than 2 hours of Daimoku a day. Because I follow in the footsteps of the Master Nichiren, one daimoku suffices for a myriad of obstacles, The tens of millions of Daimoku I chanted and continue to chant affords me the greatest most wonderful of protection. I am alive today thanks to Daimoku and a unshakeable faith in Gohonzon, the Lotus Sutra, Eternal Buddha and Nichiren. Remember, faith is first and foremost and you have a selective faith. You are blind to the great slanders of the Soka Gakkai,Nichiren Shoshu, Islam, and Christianity while only perceiving the minor slanders of an individual. Shortsighted indeed!
