The four great bodhisattvas are sure to make their advent today.
Bodhisattva Jogyo has already appeared.

" You should know this! When these four great bodhisattvas, leaders of those who sprung up from underground, spread this sutra through aggressive means of propagation, they would appear as wise kings reproaching ignorant kings, Practicing a persuasive means of propagation, they would be monks upholding and spreading the True Dharma."
i see President Biden as a wise leader who reproaches ignorant leaders. I see evidence of courageous bodhisattvas who have taken this writing of Nichiren to heart:
" The daimoku which I, Nichiren recite today in the Latter Age of Degeneration is the daimoku of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo which, unlike that of the previous ages, is not merely the practice for PERSONAL ENLIGHTENMENT (my caps) but is the practice also for BENEFITTING others. This five-character daimoku is not just the title of the Lotus Sutra, it contains the five profound meanings of the name, entity, quality, function and teaching." Three Great Secret Dharmas , Writings of Nichiren Shonin, Doctrine 2, page 290.
So, while there will naturally be differing thoughts on what it means to chant/practice for the benefit of others, I think it should be acknowledged that all who embrace the daimoku Nichiren chanted, are worthy of the highest respect and that there can be no doubt that all who do embrace it will attain the benefits promised by the Buddha who entrusted it to Bodhisattva Jogyo, Nichiren.

ReplyDeleteBiden is doing a good job, save for his giving many billions of our tax money to Ukraine and continuously poking the bear.. To equate him with one of the Four Eternally Evolved Bodhisattvas of the Earth is ludicrous. You think that Jogyo is not still here as is the Eternal Buddha? Still, he has not yet revealed himself as did Nichiren. The inscription on the only Gohonzon labeled "DaiHonzon", from 1274 (Mannen Kugo Gohonzon) states that Jogyo will again make his advent. Study more and harder. You apparently are not quite right about the teachings of Nichiren.
