The Opening of the Eyes Concluding Remarks

I don't care if you read my commentaries on the Opening of the Eyes. The important thing is to read the Opening of the Eyes again and again. It is one of the two most important writings of Nichiren Daishonin and explains the Object of Worship in terms of the person, The Master of Teachings Lord Shakya of the Original Doctrine. Every other important doctrine of Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhism is also contained therein. Nichiju Shonin converted to Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhhism when he was sixty-seven years old after reading the Opening of the Eyes. He was born on April 28th, the same day that Nichiren established Namu Myoho renge kyo. If your organization's or group's teachings are not in accord with those of Nichiren Daishonin then it is your responsibility as a disciple and believer to awaken them to the same faith and practice as the Master Nichiren.
