Why did Soka Gakkai/New Komeito relent [as I said they would] and are now supporting a change in Article 9 of their pacifist constitution?

One reason is that SGI is heavily invested in Mitsubichi Heavy Industrials and they stand to make a windfall. This is not unlike the US supporting war because it is is in bed with Ratheon, Lockheed Martin, Tyco, and Textron. Eisenhower who knew this reality warned to beware of the Military- industrial Complex. The Military-SGI religious corporation complex is just as bad.
