Contributions should go to spreading the Lotus Sutra and to sustain the poor humble preachers of the Law, not the exorbitant salaries and land acquisition of leaders, priests, or organizations. Likewise, if you are able, you may build your own temple or you may commission the translation and distribution of the documents of our faith. You may arrange and print your own Sutra books that accord with the teachings. You may print and mount or obtain pre-mounted copies of Nichiren inscribed Gohonzon to bestow upon your converts and perform the Eye Opening Ceremony yourselves [if you are a true votary of the Lotus Sutra], have a priest perform the ceremony for your converts, or you may teach your converts how to perform the Ceremony if they have grasped the essence of the Lotus Sutra.
