The SGI/NST say that the Lotus Sutra that they have devotion for is not Shakyamuni's Lotus Sutra but Nichirens analysis of the Lotus Sutra.It's like Shakyamuni said that, but it means this. Different Buddhist schools of thought also have diverse views on the Lotus Sutra depending on the interpreter. Some scholars say that Shakyamuni didn't teach it in the first place !
True about SGI/NST. Then they should at least accept Nichiren's interpretation rather than those of the High Priests and Ikeda. They should stop calling themselves Nichiren Buddhists. They are liars and frauds.
Putting aside the ritual of the Heritage of the Law and the Dai Gohonzon the NST believe that they have the deepest understanding of Nichirens teachings and that their Gosho's are more authentic than the other Nichiren sects who's Gosho collections contain forgeries. And that they also have a deeper understand of the Gosho's than what all the other sects agree on that are authentic. The other sects accuse NST of the same thing as you very well know
