  1. Then why do they exhort their members to seek guidance from leaders? The SGI teaching is that one seeks guidance from a leader, at least, two levels above his own position. For example, a general member ordinarily seeks guidance from a District Chief, a group chief seeks guidance from a Chapter Chief, a Chapter Chief from a Region Chief...etc.
