"SGI is the bastion of anti-authoritarianism" --Daisaku Ikeda
and "SGI is the jewel of Buddhist democracy". Yet, the members assert that Daisaku Ikeda speaks honest words. Is it brainwashing, wishful thinking, or something else?
How can anything be considered a "democracy" of any kind when there is an authoritarian leadership structure, top-down with appointments, and no elections of any kind? How can it be considered a "democracy" when there is no financial transparency so that the members can see what's going on with their donations and have a say in where their donations go?
Sorry - SGI likes to *SAY* it's "Buddhist democracy", but in reality it is neither.
