  1. Besides, the Nichikan Gohonzon invites disaster from ten thousand miles afar.

  2. "within two years, they will be making and selling copies of Nichiren inscribed Gohonzon" as sure as night follows day, they could also be reading authentic Nichiren Daishonin's gosho's or am I being a tab too optimistic

After years of constructive criticism it is good to see that they have been listening from former SGI members, such as people like yourself.

Congratulations Mark for being their best friend who cared enough about them to confront them with the painful truth of the errors of their ways that they didn't want to hear and that needed to be said. Only a true friend would do such a thing while enduring so much hatred and vitriol from them

  3. The problem of "professional" Buddhists will remain. They are corrupt to the core:

The idea of professional Buddhists was taken up as early as the second Buddhist council. One group argued that it was OK to accept monetary donations and the other group believed it would corrupt the Sangha. Guess who won out? Right, those who argued for accepting money won out after purportedly bribing the groups from the west, north, and the local monks. Anyway, the group who argued against taking money was banished, ended up in Kashmir, and became known as the Sarvisthatins. Mahayana probably arose from the influence of the Sarvisthatins (the non-money acceptors) in Kashmir. The money accepting monks became known as the Madhyamika which was led by Mahadeva who persecuted the Sarvisthatins. Daisaku Ikeda lavishes praise on Mahadeva and his movement in his book, “Buddhism the First Millenium.” Nichiren Daishonin, on the other hand, writes:

“Beside them, evil men such as Devadatta and Kokalika are as nothing. In fact they are in a class with Mahadeva and the Great Arrogant Brahman. And those who put faith in the teachings of such men— they too are a fearful lot indeed.” — Repaying Debts of Gratitude

  4. This is not easy to figure out because we have find the way of supplying goods and services because direct handling of money by the monks and nuns is forbidden.

Can a community of people dedicate themselves as their full time carers. Could this be the way forward for Priests of Nichiren Buddhists sects. Because what's happened so far is a disaster.

We will have to copy the example of the thousand of Buddhist sanghas throughout the world that are of the Sarvisthatins (the non-money acceptors) lineage

  6. letter to myomitsu shonin

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRbH0dAsaGI

    Background

In the beginning of this Gosho, Nichiren Daishonin stresses the Buddhist spirit of absolute reverence for life; and also the Buddhist practice of almsgiving, which sustains life.

In response to Myomitsu Shonin's sincere offering of five kan of coins, he explains that by providing another with sustenance one obtains three kinds of benefit. To "sustain one's life," "bring color to one's face" and "gain strength" might ordinarily be thought of as the benefits enjoyed by the recipient of such offerings.

We should note that here, however, the Daishonin interprets them, in accordance with the law of cause and effect, as the blessings that accrue to the donor. He also correlates these blessings with the three bodies or three properties of the Buddha.

Nichiren accepts 5 kan of coins, if this is true then he is of the money accepting monks became known as the Madhyamika which was led by Mahadeva who persecuted the Sarvisthatins

Could this gosho could be an example of what scripture twisters do because of greed or is this the truth and a contradiction of Nichiren's statement?

“Beside them, evil men such as Devadatta and Kokalika are as nothing. In fact they are in a class with Mahadeva and the Great Arrogant Brahman. And those who put faith in the teachings of such men— they too are a fearful lot indeed.” — Repaying Debts of Gratitude ?

  7. I think there is a difference accepting donations to sustain life and the building of elaborate structures and mid six figure salaries.

  8. its not a black and white Panda but rather a rainbow.

If Nichiren was sick and needed to go to the Doctor who wasn't a true believer he could use some of his kan coins to fix his problem so that he can go on preaching the Law

  9. One other point to keep in mind. The Former Day was for keeping the precepts but in the Latter Day there is only one precept. Please read Dengyo's Candle of the Latter Dharma which Nichiren cites on several occasions.
