"President Ikeda visited Argentina for the first time and attended a performance, much like the one we are having on July 16th. A German sat in the crowd, he saw President Ikeda and his friends and peers around them, and was truly inspired by the mentor and disciple relationship. That inspiration grew to understanding, which in turn, grew to acceptance.
Today, he believes that once people choose President Ikeda as their mentor, positive results will come with the passage of time. He also believes that once we have received the benefits from this relationship, we should share it with others.
Fourteen-year-old Tia De Deleon views President Ikeda as her mentor too. When she thinks of the mentor and disciple relationship, she thinks of President Ikeda's relationship to all of us, including the friends who introduced her to Nichiren Buddhism."
