Poor Rita Repulsa

Her mentor has shackled her to himself like a sick siamese twin who will eventually kill both himself and his sibling.

  1. How pitiful! You need to turn to the True Buddha Nichiren Daishonin and his foremost disciple Ikeda Sensei to do your Human Revolution!

  3. rita - question - why does nichiren consistently identity himself as the leader of the bodhisattvas of the earth and follower of shakyamuni? is he lying? study the real teachings rita. nix, nix on the slander.

  4. Hi Greg, there are two types of Bodhisattva's, the ordinary that manifest the negative aspect of the ten worlds and the fully cultivated one "Bodhisattva Buddha" that is always manifesting the positive state of the ten worlds that I believe who Nichiren was . Shakyamuni was Nichiren's mentor as you say who was a Buddha in his past lives and was mentored by other Buddha's.

The true mentor of all the Buddha's is the law itself (Dharma Body) aspect of the 3 bodied Tathagatta that doesn't change

3 bodied Tathagatta's come and go throughout eternity, we could of been 3 bodied Tathagattas in the past for all we know that have become deluded because of various reasons

Both are true Buddha's, and in a sence so are we. Nichiren didn't talk about himself being a Buddha in his past lives just like we don't but Nichiren probably knew about his past lives but didn't say because it would create discrimination between himself and ordinary people like us who don't remember the last time that we were a fully cultivated Buddha's

  5. nichiren said exactly what he meant. "nichiren said this but meant that" is sgi's and the shoshu's perversion. the bodhisatvass of the earth can chant the daimoku and uphold the lotus sutra because they are related to the eternal shakyamuni.

    1. Being a fully cultivated Buddha for trillions of kalpas is just like a blink as far as eternity goes. In a similar fashion we are temporary Buddha's when the state of Buddha is manifested in the nine worlds in our daily life.

In this respect we are the same as a semi permanent Buddha but in a temporary sense. We both share the same eternal unbounded state of the eternal Buddha that we are.

Very few of us at the one time are semi Permanent Buddha's compared to temporary Buddha's of ichinen sanzen. (Fire flies)

I understand that we including Mark and friends may have our differences of opinions on certain issues and agree to disagree at times but I hope that which unites us in our common repulsion of the SGI,and other dodgy Nichiren sects will be the greater

  6. What I have repeated has come from "a Guide to the threefold lotus sutra by Nikkyo Niwano. The version of the 3 fold lotus sutra that Mark promotes is also praised highly and is recommended by Niwano as well worth reading. What you are referring as sgi's and the shoshu's perversion is not just there view. This outlook may be more prevalent than we think amongst all the factions within the Nichiren sects and with independent practitioners. And the thing about it is that it all makes good sense of what Nichiren says

Over the last year Eagle Peak Blog with Mark at the helm has helped me transition through a very difficult time in which I was ensnared in a web of deceit, spun by the Soka Gakkai spin Doctors. For that I am most grateful to Eagle Peak and am continually learning from others experiences

  8. i remember back in the late 60's and 70's ikeda and the nsa/soka gakkai used to brag about how well japan was doing in all areas. according to them it was because the soka gakkai was doing so much shakabuku. over the last several years japan has gotten its ass kicked by the universe, sunamies, earthquakes, and now they are living on an atomic bomb. things will only get worse due to the slander of nichirens buddhism. what does the cult have to say about this?

    1. I've heard them (Soka Gakkaites) say that its all just part of nature, perfectly natural, all good. Maybe that's because they have never heard of Rissho Ankoku Ron, "On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land," or maybe they just don't want to know about Nichiren's most important treatise since Nichiren Buddhism is no longer part of their agenda

    2. i think you are right noel. or maybe they have read it once but due to the fact that they cannot distinguish black from white, due to intense slander, it makes no sense to them. i think ten tai, and nichiren would agree with that.

    2. Thanks Shinkei for your reprimand . You sound like some kind of arrogant Priest telling me what to do. Can you cite your source in the English language instead of Japanese characters from Nichiren's hand regarding my erroneous opinions so that I can comprehend what you are attempting to convey because so far you haven't been making too much sense

You are acting foolishly with such statements "To try and assert that you understand the doctrine without knowing Chinese and Japanese is ridiculous" You really need to reign in your out of control your ego mate. My wife who is Japanese couldn't understand some of you sentences.

If you say we have to understand the language so we know what's going on and that you know what's going on because you think you know the language, isn't that a bit or a lot ridiculous

I'm reading Niwano at the moment, it doesn't mean that I agree with everything he says just as I don't agree with everything all the other commentators like yourself say about Nichiren Buddhism. They just tick some of the boxes for me. The closest ones that I agree with that tick all the right boxes are Shakyamuni and Nichiren and what I have said is backed up by them.

You have not yet mastered the ultimate principle of the Lotus Sutra - ichinen sanzen that's why you don't understand what I say, and that I am 100% wrong. Until then you will remain as an infant until a paradigm shift occurs in you awareness Gassho

You are way out of your depth in this one junior and by the way if you focused more of your time in trying to understand Nichiren Buddhism that is already available in English than learning Japanese and Chinese characters you may be come more capable and coherent in explaining Nichiren Buddhism.

A native Japanese speaker has commented that your Japanese is unclear and garbled. I'm telling this to you because you have asked for it. When conversing with others you have been using the Asian Language Card to bolster your fragile ego over them Gassho

      OK Shinkei

"The words of a wise man of old also teach that “you should base your mind on the ninth consciousness, and carry out your practice in the six consciousnesses"

How can this the ninth/amala consciousness not be relevant in the world of Hell

    8. "Your idea about the three bodies is shoshu crap"

OK Shinkei I state my case that is derived from many of Nichiren's Goshos. Look at this one for example

"The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind
Established in the Fifth Five-Hundred-Year Period
after the Thus Come One ’s Passing"

Temporary/transient phenomena of the “transformation/manifest-body of the Buddha and the common mortal is eternally changing just like the enjoyment/Reward-body (S.sambhogakāya)

The individual Alaya Consciousness aspect of the Reward Body, “recompense body” enjoyment-body (S. sambhogakāya) that is incorporated with the ultimate principle of ichinensanzen is forever changing just like the transformation/Reward-body (S. nirmanakāya)

Look into the 5 components/aggregates – Within the consciousness aggregates exists the 9 consciousness’s. The 8th consc / Reward body is but one body of the 3 bodies of the Eternal 3 bodied Tathagatta Śākyamuni Buddha and a common mortal.

There is the collective and individual aspect of the Alaya consc , here I am referring to the individual aspect of it. The main differences is the cultivation aspect of the reward body of a Tathagatta that has been completed where as a common mortal it is still in an ongoing state of development.

Both have the same structure this why the common mortal can temporarily experience the same eternal unbounded state of joy of Buddhahood in this life - the Buddha/amala/9th consciousness manifesting in mutual possession of the ten worlds that many adherents to spirituality, including the SGI mistake as being the same as what Shakyamuni Buddha for example attained, that often turns into an obnoxious form of arrogance when one claims to attain what they haven't

      1-7 consciousness’s - transformation-body (S. nirmanakāya) Ke - body mind and ego
Transient phenomena of the “transformation-body of the Buddha and the common mortal is eternally ever changing the same as the Reward / enjoyment-body (S.sambhogakāya)

Alaya – 8th consciousness, Reward Body, “recompense body” of the Buddha and the common mortal, enjoyment-body (S. sambhogakāya) Ku

The individual Alaya Consciousness aspect of the Reward Body, “recompense body” enjoyment-body (S. sambhogakāya) Ku is also ever changing in the same way as the transformation-body (S. nirmanakāya) Ke

Amala – 9th consciousness, Dharma-body of the Buddha and the common mortal is the never changing but dynamic (S. dharmakāya) Chu. Responsible overall operations and performance of consciousness - Middle way

Do you claim to completely understand ichinen sanzen?
Re the japanese-the english translations are wring in many critical areas. Have your wife read you what kanji nichiren writes when he describes his spirit tamashii and the kanji he uses for Shakyamuni. They have different meanings that most japanese dont understand.

  15. Yes Shinkei I do claim to understand ichinen sanzen and it hasn't always been easy because it has created so much hostility towards me and my wife from those who feel threatened by it because it undermines their metaphysical security zone and their perceived power of being in control.

Nobody likes their faith that gives them peace of mind to be disturbed even though they may have no doubts about it or some doubts about it.

This is one of the main reasons why I resigned from the SGI and that why my wife was excommunicated by them. gassho

  16. Hello Noel. to start please read this.
A brief description of Ichinen Sanzen

Ichinen Sanzen is a Buddhist theory developed by Tientai. It is based on the Lotus Sutra. It explains the relationship between Ichinen (life essence) and Sanzen(the varied manifestations of the life essence).
Associated with this theory is the concept of Shoho Jisso (true entity). With regards to this theory Ichinen woud also mean the ultimate reality and Sanzen would mean all phenomena. The number 3000 comes from the relationship between the 10 worlds, the mutal possession of the 10 worlds, the tenfactors and the three realms of environment.
This theory seeks to show that all phenomena-cause and effect, self and envoronment, body and mind and all life, both sentient and insentient are possessed in every single thought moment in the lives of common mortals.
The provisional doctrines tought that the mind was the source of all phenomena, but the theory of Ichinen Sanzen that the mind and all phenomena are 'two but not two' and neither one can be independent of the other.
Tientai used the Hoben chapter to develope the idea of the true entity or ten factors. These 10 factors describe the 5 components of life(go'on seken) and the realm of living beings(shujo seken),( two of the three realms of existence).
He used the mystic principle of the true land, found in the 16th chapter of the Lotus Sutra to describe the realm of environment, (kokudo seken).

I feel this is a good place to start.

  17. Thanks Shinkei for your help but I already understand this brief description more comprehensive ones

What I shared with you wasn't my understanding of the full description of ichinen sanzen but what I feel is a component of it that has been overlooked. Especially the consciousness aspect of the 5 components

Look into the 5 components/aggregates – Within the consciousness aggregates exists the 9 consciousness’s. Within the 8th consc/Alaya there exists the individual and collective karma aspect. This individual karmic aspect is like a stream that has no beginning or end that flows through the 3 existences that determines our future lives. This is what was denied by the former General Director of SGIA throughout his 10 year tenure. This point caused so much disharmony between the organisation and us over the years. We wrote many letters to the top headquarter leaders in Japan including Ikeda. They couldn't even show us the common respect and decency of an answer.

It was many years latter that we woke up that this same disbelief in the eternity of life of the individual aspect of the Alaya consc throughout the 3 existences was prevalent amongst he top leaders particularly Ikeda.. It was an entire back flip from what he used to teach. Then we realised it was not an isolated national problem but rather being malignant throughout the world with its source coming from Soka Gakkai Headquarters Nippon
