The concept of master-disciple is a heretical doctrine that derives from the appropriation of the japanese tendai abomination called the fourfold rise and fall. For info re this concept read the Rissho Kanjo. This is where the shoshu 'doctrine' starts, in that it allows them to make things up and claim some sort of special connection or transfer.
