But do you believe a profound change in one human being may positively affect the course of humanity? I believe so.
ReplyDeleteLook what happened in Paris last November 13th. 7 or 8 terrorists, in a few hours, succeeded in slaying and wounding hundreds!
Along with their handlers who train them, orchestrate massacres and provides them w/ munitions, such jihadists negatively affect the course of humanity.
An enlightened human being, on the other hand, can exert tremendously positive influence on humanity, so that teaching, in the Buddha's spirit, is truthful.
and who might one of these "enlightened" teachers be? Other than Shakyamuni Buddha of the Juryo Chapter of the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren, I can't seem to find one person alive or dead who merits the appellation.
