If we were to accept the arguments of the Soka Gakkai scholar Ken’ichi Maegawa, there would be no Nichiren and no Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhism


Nichren was not interested in a framework of coexistence amongst the various sects and religions. He cared only for the Supreme Way and the relief of suffering by converting people to the Lotus Sutra.
