  1. That tells you all you need to know about where the org is focussed and what it cares most deeply about.

Quite apart from the fact that they shouldn't have needed to ask because open and transparent financial reporting procedures and good financial controls should have been in place, that they did and got that response from a supposedly religious organisation that claims to value each individual is shameful.

And I bet there was no right of appeal and no published process in place to ensure fair treatment. Someone (or a secret committee) just decided that such questioning was a threat and no doubt justified its expulsion of these people because it was damaging to the "harmony" of the org. or likely to "disrupt the community of Belibers".

What next with such people? What will their questioning minds or self confidence turn to next? The glaring inconsistencies in their teachings and those of Nichiren? The glaring inconsistencies between their teaching of yesterday and today? Their realisation that a teacher is only as good as the results, self reliance and the genuine understanding they facilitate in those they teach? The realisation that they now equal or are more capable and have a better understanding than their teacher (which is every good teacher's or parents dream)?

"Heaven forbid, let's get rid. Ikeda a spare part? And upset our bountiful apple cart? Out, out, out - can't take that kind of risk. Cozie-rufu is at stake...talking of steaks, shall we discuss this over a Kobe and Chardonnay?... "

Shameful behavior indeed but they probably did those six a favour and saved them from much, much worse.

  2. " And they slander me as a Hobo (evil) priest who is not following Nichiren's teachings. "

In America, *hobos* aren't evil, just down on their luck... maybe you are over reacting?
