being nice is a good quality, but not at the expense of truth.
sgi teaches that buddhism teaches respect for all life. this is a provisional teaching and they should be ashamed of themselves. there is no teaching that teaches respect for thoughts and actions that deluded or hurt any forms of life...especially human life. as the sgi/nst does.... lying and taking advantage of people is not respecting life. a strong attribute of buddhahood, is honesty. whats up ikeda senseless?
hello mrs. higgins85, lets hope its a good one. don't do much traveling these days, but if i did....it would be a joy and an honor to meet you face to face. i don't even visit the priest shinkei who lives 2 hrs drive from me. we do talk on the phone once every few weeks. smiles.
Great thought. How about in the middle [Oklahoma]? May be heading to New York to see our land in the summer. Depends on many things. Will let you know.
Or perhaps--teleconference-- skype?? Though meeting to shoot a *mock debate* video would be excellent. Actually maybe a better term would be a dramatization of the debate SGI/NST refuses to engage in despite Mark's longstanding annual invitations??
Just saying- -- maybe best not to contemplate self -gratifying social encounters -- or rather maybe should always keep the Buddha foremost in our minds??
