"If the source is muddy, the stream will not flow clear; if the body is bent, the shadow will not be straight." -- Nichiren

With the Nichiren Shoshu as the "source" of SGI, rather than the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren, of course SGI is turbid and crooked.
