Question: Why does the latter experience have nothing to do with the Lotus Sutra Buddhism of Nichiren? 

Answer: Because Ikedaism is not the Lotus Sutra Buddhism of Nichiren. Nichiren teaches that even the most incredible miracles and testimonials, if not based on the Lotus Sutra and its true doctrines, are meaningless. If you have any doubts about what I say, you should read Repaying Debts of Gratitude (Hoon Sho), one of Nichiren's five major writings.
