There are several reasons. Nichikan was Nichiren Shoshu through and through. He believed in and taught the sovereignty of the High Priest of Nichiren Shoshu. Were SGI members to be taught the writings of Nichikan, they would learn of the depraved mind and character of the transcriber of their Gohonzon. This might destroy their faith in their mentor who chose for them his inferior object of veneration.
