- Daniel Pino Jr.March 3, 2019 at 8:43 PMI joined the SGI in March of 1998, and left them behind in the early 2000s to practice independently. I realized the same as many before and after me, that they are only about themselves and Ikeda. No talk about Siddhartha or his teachings in the lotus sutra. I am so proud to be an independent Nichiren Buddhist.

BRO what are you doing to spread the law. a selfish game?
ReplyDelete I am with you dude. Someone needs to start an Independent Nichiren organization independent of all the religious organizations that claim to be propagating Nichiren Buddhism. As I began to study actual Buddhism instead of the nonsensical 'New Human Revolution', I began to realize very quickly just how far away from Nichiren Buddhism the SGI really is. The SGI has absolutely nothing to do with Buddhism. It is all about Ikeda and keeping everyone so busy with meetings that they are too worn out to question anything. And the other schools of Nichiren Buddhism are not much better,. Too rigid for me with no means of growth in the practice. I too am an Independent Nichiren Buddhist and I practice morning and night. And I have actually read the Lotus Sutra, which is more than 95% of SGI members can say. They don't even know what Nichiren Buddhism is. All they know is SGI'ism and Ikedaism. It's sad because the SGI had the perfect opportunity to do a very good thing in this world. Instead they chose to line their own pockets with the hard-earned money of the poorest of the poor that they have brainwashed into oblivion.
