On cigarettes and Nichikan or the benighted nature of Nichikan

I once bought a carton of cigarettes from a guy in a train station for twenty dollars. A few minutes later I opened the carton and it was stuffed with hay. Likewise, the Nichikan "Gohonzon" contains not the enlightened nature of the Eternal Buddha but rather the benighted nature of Nichikan who proclaimed Shakyamuni Buddha "a cast-off Buddha".
