There's that whole thing He started to respect the Gohonzon and the constant reading and chanting of the Lotus Sutra, ensure that millions and eventually billions chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo, and a strong and unique Buddhist practice in Faith that is unique to Nichiren Buddhism and understanding the Mystic Law in such a way. Do you fear slandering those who have upheld the Lotus Sutra? Their Votaries? Daisaku's Disciples have published almost all of Nichiren's work and decide to stay close to the doctrine the best they can. So you have to ask yourself, are you just justifying your own decision not to accept a Mentor or a Teacher other than your High Spiritual Connection with the Buddha? Has He personally transmitted these thoughts into your mind or have you come up with them yourself? There is much in Buddhism that asks us to not be as stones at the bottom of a river, but to become the river that is Nirvana, flowing together into the Ocean of endless Maitri for all living entities.

SGI are evil milkmaids who add a lot of water to the milk of the true teachings

"And the ninth volume of the Nirvana Sutra, speaking of the propagation of the Lotus Sutra, states: 'After I have entered nirvana, in the last eighty years before the correct teaching has passed into extinction, at that time this sutra will be widely propagated throughout Jambudvīpa. In that age there will be evil monks who will steal this sutra and divide it into many parts, losing the color, scent, and flavor of the correct teaching that it contains. These evil men will read and recite this sutra, but they will ignore and put aside the profound and vital principles that the Thus Come One has expounded in it and replace them with ornate rhetoric and meaningless talk. They will tear off the first part of the sutra and stick it on at the end, tear off the end and put it at the beginning, put the end and the beginning in the middle and the middle at the beginning or the end. You must understand that these evil monks are the companions of the devil....

“For example, milkmaids sometimes add a great deal of water to their milk. And these evil monks do much the same. They mix in worldly sayings, thus presenting an erroneous version of the sutra and making it impossible for large numbers of living beings to expound the sutra CORRECTLY, copy it correctly, apprehend it correctly, pay it due honor, praise, offerings, and respect. Because these evil monks are concerned only in gaining profit and support, they are incapable of widely propagating this sutra. Few are the places they reach in their various preaching excursions, and these are not worth mentioning. The impoverished milkmaids go from place to place selling their watered milk, but although one may make gruel with it, it lacks the real flavor of milk. And this great vehicle scripture, this Great Nirvana Sutra, is like this. As it is passed from place to place it becomes increasingly thin and insipid until it has no flavor at all.

'But though it has no flavor, it is still a thousand times superior to the other sutras, just as the flavor of the watered milk is a thousand times superior to bitter tastes. Why is this? Because this great vehicle scripture, this Great Nirvana Sutra, is the finest of all the sutras that the Buddha preached for his voice-hearer disciples.' (This is the tenth passage.)"

The SGI has widely propagated the Lotus Sutra throughout the world but the teachings have lost the color, scent and flavor of the correct teaching that it contains. The SGI leaders and members read and recite this Sutra but they ignore and put aside the vital principles that the Thus Come One has expounded in it. They have replaced the vital principles with ornate rhetoric such as: “We chant the Lotus Sutra to refute the Lotus Sutra”; “Nichiren is the Original Eternal Buddha”; “We are all Buddhas as we are”; “Nichiren said this but he meant that.”; and “The SGI is the only group of true believers”.

Is not the reality laid out in the Rissho Ankoku Ron, the reality of warfare, famine, fires, floods, drought, epidemic etc. upon us to an even greater degree than during the time of Nichiren, despite the widespread propagation of the Sutra throughout Jambudvipa? The reasons are, the Law has been changed and the Gohonzon has been altered, the vital principles of the Lotus Sutra have been forgotten, and there is no unity in the Nichiren Sangha.

"And yet, there is not one person who says, “perhaps this man has reason for saying these things.” (A paraphrasing of a passage in Repaying Debts of Gratitude).

The SGI will continue to spread Nam(u) myoho renge kyo but will it spread the vital principles contained therein? Most importantly, will it spread the Great Secret Law of the Object of Worship?:

“Answer: ‘One: Japan and so on to the whole of Jambudvipa should uniformly take the Master of Teachings Lord Shakya of the Original Doctrine as the Object of Worship.” -ibid"

The Great Teacher Miao-lo states:

“Even people whose minds deviate from truth will gain great blessings if they form a relationship with an object of truth. But if a person forms a bond with an object that deviates from truth, even if that bond is free from the hindrances of doubt, he will be unable to foster the seed of Buddhahood.
