Tolerance

Correcting wrong thought was the practice of Shakyamuni Buddha and Nichiren Daishonin. Certainly neither of them were tolerant of wrong thought. However, different from other religions, particularly Christianity and Islam which spread through military conquest, Buddhism has been a religion of dialogue and debate. Tolerance doesn't mean we have to agree with the various faiths. If I found a more rational hopeful faith, I would convert. After 40+ years, only Namu Myoho renge kyo resonates with me.
