Glad to see you back, Mark, been meaning to comment for a couple of weeks now, finally got down to it... Something I've noticed is responses you get that seem to be from SG members or supporters. Their responses appear to be something along the lines of "well, SG got so many to chant daimoku", therefore we should ignore not only their heretical teachings (which they share with NS), but also the fact that they fit the definition of a cult in so many ways, not least of which is their worship of their 'sensei'. They criticize you, but all you do is quote the Lotus Sutra and Nichiren's authentic writings, teach that Shakyamuni is Eternal Buddha, etc. So their issue is apparently with Shakyamuni and Nichiren, not you. (To be fair, when have we met a SG member who actually knows anything about even the most basic teachings of Buddhism, read the LS, etc., they only quote scamsei. Dangerous, brainwashed high-control group, I'll say it. Let's remain faithful to Shakyamuni, Nichiren and true LS Buddhism. That's what really matters.
all kinds of people chanting
ReplyDeletethe critics aren’t superior
to the most ignorant believer
praise be !!
follow the Law
by believing all are equally endowed with Myoho Renge Kyo
look how long it’s taking for the very premise and intent of the Lotus Sutra to be realized !!!
Shakyamuni understood the latter day -
ReplyDeleteALL are ignorant, deluded
Especially those who lord it over others
We are warned against you guys
Follow the law in our own lives
Wisdom of the Buddha warns against following persons
Shakyamuni entrusted the perfect teaching to one disciple , Nichiren
We should not follow anyone else but develop our faith in our own unique way
Even SGI members learn this
I cherish many who have grown and developed real humanity
There is nothing remotely inspiring about this little bubble, echo chamber -
So what if a brainwashed cultie chants myoho renge kyo?
ReplyDeleteWill they receive no benefit?
I consulted the Gosho and could not find that caveat, John.
If the Law is the essential teaching, then why keep looking for fault with the people who chant it
