The Dharma of the Lotus Flower Sutra is the Eternal Lifespan and Enlightenment of the Buddha Shakya of the Juryo Chapter of the Lotus Sutra.

We should strive and struggle together to be better human beings
First and foremost , we should acknowledge each other’s inherent Buddha nature and conduct ourselves accordingly
the eternal shakyamuni - the teacher of the latter half of the lotus sutra exudes the compassion of the mother and the strictness of the father. both are compassion . sgi- christianity = Jesus loves me, this I know , because the Bible tells me so. so stupid !

Another thing to consider about parents/ mothers and fathers is that both-- whatever role they play and I don't think it's gender limited- mothers can be strict, etc.; whatever role each parent plays, both love their children and would be loathe to belittle or demean them regardless of the lesson they are teaching.In fact, unless there is that bond of trust and caring, children will blow off whatever a parent tries to teach!!
DeleteI don't discount how hard it is to establish solid relationships where strictness will be appreciated, but I do know the formula well. Spending the majority of my adult life and nursing career working with children and adolescents, I know the formula well.
Children especially have radar for pompous authoritarians who are saying and doing what suits their agenda.
In other words, it's no easy task to emulate the Buddha's teaching on being "a parent" to strangers.

We should even acknowledge the Buddha-nature of Hitler and Putin. They, however, are/were neither Buddhas nor Bodhisattvas. Even slugs should be seen as Myoho, viruses, parasites and bacteria. The Ten Worlds of Myoho are manifest in everything at any moment. Compassion may manifest as the loving kindness of a mother and the strictness of the father. Pity too manifests as the wisdom of the father.
DeleteNichiren and Nagarjuna even saw the buddha-nature and Myoho in a dung beetle. However, the dung beetle is not a valid object of worship and neither is Daisaku Ikeda.
ReplyDeleteOh well, so long as you claim to know what millions of sgi members are worshipping, you will continue your ceaseless degradation of fellow believers. I think you mistake gratitude for worship and forget that SGI members chant to Gohonzon and believe in daimoku. That constitutes worship of and reverence for the eternal Buddha - for those who attribute their encountering this wonderful teaching to Ikeda, it seems natural that they would demonstrate their gratitude. I have grown through study and life experience to feel gratitude for President Ikeda and refrain from focus on his flaws or the feelings others have toward him. Ikeda accomplished amazing propagation unsurpassed by any single person in our time. That’s just a matter of historical record. The rest is up to each of us.

You mean their perceived worship of Daisaku Ikeda despite their fervent denial? Do you mean their perverted practices and doctrines:
ReplyDeleteSoka Gakkai leaders and Nichiren Shoshu priests and believers are slanderers and renegade disciples: Practice of interfaith; mixing of practices, ie: Yuiga Yoga or Guru Yoga as advocated by Josei Toda and put into practice by Daisaku Ikeda (SGI mentor/disciple) ; a Zen derived Patriarchal Transmission practiced in Nichiren Shoshu and SGI (Three Presidents doctrine) instead of a transmission through Namu Myoho renge kyo, Gohonzon, and Lotus Sutra; Reliance on the Presidents and the High Priests instead of absolute reliance on the Law; doctrines most often derived from Goshos NOT in Nichiren's hand (both SGI and NST; depreciating the 28 Chapter Lotus Sutra, its Prologue and Epilogue Sutras, claiming that Daisaku Ikeda's Human Revolution novels are "The Lotus Sutra of the modern age"; depreciating Shakyamuni Buddha, thus having a different Three Treasures than Nichiren (both Soka Gakkai and Nichiren Shoshu); and SGI slandering the Nichiren Shoshu and the Nichiren Shoshu slandering the SGI, despite both being Fuji schools having virtually the same doctrines AND Both SGI and NST slandering the "Orthodox" sects, for example, the Nichiren Shu and the Kempon Hokke.
