And your point is ...?
ReplyDeleteMy website has significantly less readers than yours (50,000 hits compared to 271,000 as of today), but my top post "SGI vs CULT" has been viewed by 4,800 people. Why have so few of your readers checked out your top post?
How come you only published top 7 and not top 10?
Even the 10th post in my list has been viewed 740 times, compared with 731 for your 2nd most popular!
And your top 5 includes ...
1 - Someone else's article
2 - Welcome to our Chinese Readers
3 - My Gohonzon's better than yours
4 - Mark vs. Kempon
5 - Who bought and closed Rick Ross? ... No-one
I think we both agree deep down that Nichiren Buddhism is not about numbers, but the degree of faith of every member.
The Definitive Analysis of Why SGI is a Cult has received 3000 views. SGI Pinocchio from the previous incarnation of this blog had over 6000 views. I had over 400 comments on one post [Ikeda as the Great Cornholio] from at least 25 different people on my fraught with peril blog. I'd like to think that I offer something for everyone.
DeleteThe only thing I really take from this post is that despite the heavy "readership" figures, 99.9% of your posts are being viewed by less than 200 people! And I'm sure the majority are probably read by less than 50 people.
ReplyDeleteFor this reason, any serious time and energy committed to debating your posts is a waste of time.
As I've said before,
(1) Within days most of your posts are relegated to page 4 or 5 of your blog and it quickly becomes yesterdays news.
(2) You recycle several topics over and over, but don't copy and paste comments from the past, so previous discussions are "lost" unless people want to trawl through a massive history of posts.
(3) Some of your posts get deleted, why? I often bookmark anything that stands out with a view to comment on it at a later date. But there are at least 3 occasions when I've gone back through my bookmarks and it is now a dead link. Why are you deleting posts? A change of mind? A realization that what you said was wrong or made you look bad? Maybe some good discussions have been "lost" if you felt you were losing the argument?
I won't tell you how to run your blog, but 500 posts in April 2014 is ridiculous. I just think a lot of your compassion and wisdom, and some genuinely important things you have to say can get lost in a sea of mediocre verbosity.
You certainly wasted a lot of your time:

Certainly, you had nothing to say regarding the 13 posts "Nichiren" Buddhist Contradicts Nichiren Daishonin and the Lotus Sutra because you, your mentor, and the entire Soka Gakkai were so thoroughly defeated.
Your precept driven viewpoint regarding the behaviors of votaries too will go down in flames if you persist in harassing me about Daisicko and Dai$aku Ikeda.Think "minor evil" and "major good".
ReplyDeleteYou also apparently have wasted a lot of time with your 100 comments. Refusing to debate is one thing, hit and run another.
