The enlightened nature of the Eternal Buddha or the benighted nature of Nichikan?

I bought a carton of cigarettes from a fellow in the train station in Rome for twenty dollars. A few minutes later I opened the carton and it was stuffed with hay. Likewise, the Nichikan "Gohonzon" contains not the enlightened nature of the Eternal Buddha but rather the benighted nature of Nichikan who called Shakyamuni Buddha "a cast-off Buddha".
