They hate him. They hate him for pointing out their errors. They hate him by changing his writings and relying on inauthentic texts. They hate him by taking passages from the authentic texts out of context and arbitrarily interpreting his words. They hate him by following the teachings of another master.
This is why they hate those of us who remind them of what Nichiren said.

"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you"
