early nasa was a bit more supportive to what nichirens spirit of faith and practice were. by 1974...it started to become more and more about ikeda. this is one reason ikeda had to get rid of GMW. he was too well liked.

these pictures remind me of how outrageous and mean the cancer ridden sects of "nichiren" are. around this time ...lets say from 1967 to 1979... the sects, nsa/sgi/nichiren groups of buddhism exploded on the american scene. especially at that time in southern california. it seems that every 6 months it doubled in size.
the great shame is that even though the groups mentioned above were never in complete alignment with nichiren and the buddha who taught the lotus sutra, the spirit to practice with nichiren as their guide was much stronger in those years. starting around 1996 the focus of the organization was more and more on commandant daisaku ikeda....less and less on the real teachings of the buddha.
today our world, our country is hurting ,sick and lost. as a believer in the lotus sutra and its teacher for the latter day, nichiren, who admonished ...that buddhism is the body and the environment is the shadow. these pictures only make me think of how much the true medicine, which is so desperately needed today has not spread . what a shame , what a pity. ikeda, as well as his cult are complicit , along with the shoah priesthood and it complicit members.
it is a tremendous shame that real buddhism has been hijacked and used for selfish greed, angry and stupidity.
