ReplyDeleteFrom a religious standpoint, by 2030 or 2040, Europe will be majority Muslim. Not a good thing from the standpoint of the Lotus Sutra.

ReplyDelete.....mental conflict?....imagine if you will, you are aboard one of the few lifeboats amid a sinking Titanic - your lifeboat is at capacity, and yet, amid the screams for help surrounding you, the boat's Stewart denies, and even brushes off any attempts of the boarding of others.
ReplyDelete.....possibly some linkage to the Never Disparaging Spirit?.....I just don't know. Yes, Life as taught in Buddhism is sacrosanct, precious and rare...rare throughout the Macro-Universe - but here on Earth, there are 7.5 Billion of us....by mid century, predicted 9B - by century end, 12-13 B......not so rare. The challenge of maintaining the Never Disparaging spirit among so many, and so many in need......I'm looking forward to Buddhism to clarify proper attitude and the ensuing practice to help conducting myself as the Buddha would.

Delete"joy of joys"....this you mentioned to Blanche as your state condition. Are you making further inroads to an understanding the "true aspect of all phenomena" - are you advancing peacefulness, or is their an impending "disturbance in the Force?".....yes I know that good health has a lot to with this question.
ReplyDeleteBy following Nichiren we advance peacefulness even if it will take 10,000 years or more. The True Aspect of all Phenomena is, I believe, the consistency from beginning to end of the Ten Factors functioning through the Ten Worlds, their mutual possession, and ultimately 3000 Worlds in a momentary existence of life. This can only be understood and shared among Buddhas. The reason for this is that only the 16th Chapter (The Lifespan of the Tathagata) fully completes Ichinen Sanzen. Only the Buddha of the Juryo Chapter fully understands and explicates Ichinen Sanzen.
