There is no such thing as right or wrong. It's about winning and losing - Soka Gakkai teaching

Caller: I hear your having some struggles with this Buddhism

Kevin Richardson: I have been looking around and I have came into some information that gives me the impression that SGI isn't what it says it is.

(Other words are said but I'll skip to save a little time)

Caller: ...Well every one has struggles, Ghandi had struggles, Martin Luther King had struggles, President Ikeda even had struggles when he came to America.

KR: Dude. Slow down, really. You are using the word "struggle" very loosely. I am not struggling. This is really not that epic, okay.

(Then Caller hangs up)

KR: "Point being that this person has been so immersed in his little SGI bubble of touchy feely talking points that the propaganda has severely affected his ability to tell the truth. Their version of Buddhism is that they teach that there is no such thing as right or wrong. It's about winning and losing. Maybe it's some veiled admission that the facts don't matter to the SGI."

  1. Ends justifying the means is not Nichiren Lotus Sutra Buddhism

The Expedient Means Chapter is one of the most important chapters of the Lotus Sutra. The Supreme Votary of the Lotus Sutra, Nichiren Daishonin read this chapter differently than all the other great sages in the history of Lotus Sutra Buddhism. He read it correctly. He pointed out that the purpose of the Buddha in expounding the Expedient Means Chapter was not for praising expedient means but for abandoning them. The SGI [Ikeda] embraces the interpretation of expedient means as taught by the great sages Tientai and Dengyo appropriate for the Middle day of the Law, not the interpretation of Nichiren Daishonin appropriate for this Latter Day. SGI practices an ends justify the means outdated permutation of the Lotus Sutra rather than Nichiren Daishonin's teaching on the inseparability of means and ends [inseparability of cause and effect] appropriate for today.

  2. I have never met an SGI member, that had enough spititual learning or insight, to come close to teaching me anythung about Buddhism. Many are nice people but, they are empty vessels, in many ways. A dangerous set-up for a person serious about a spiritual journey in life and pursueing ethical dharma.
You will hit a wall. You maybe betrayed in the most vicious of ways. Be Careful!

  4. You are a very wise man. So many similarities between Ikedaism and Christianity. The brainwashing. Judaism too which I have first hand experiences and Hinduism. Quite frightening really.
