"When proponents of the Soka Gakkai or Nichiren Shoshu school "engage in rival controversy with the non-Buddhists or with the votaries of the Hinayana or the provisional Mahayana sutras, it is difficult to predict which side will be victorious. But when they engage in controversy with the votary(ies) of the Lotus Sutra, it is like a tiger fighting with a dragon, or a rabbit with a lion—they cannot possibly win the debate."
Mark, I like some of your views, but most of your statements are so brief and no reference to base on what you say, it's very hard to agree to what you claimed.
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate very much if you could let me know what you based on for your views and your statements
Thanks.
James.
Because what we preach is based on the scriptures with Sutra in hand and there's [for example, "Mentor/Disciple is the prime point of the Lotus Sutra"] is but tangentially related to the Wonderful Law, they can not possibly hope to win the debate. Furthermore, are they to engage in controversy with us, they suffer loss.
