You are kidding yourself Mikael. Diverse views? Place a copy of a Nichiren inscribed Gohonzon in your butsudan and see how long before you are unceremoniously excommunicated. As far as the Gohonzon being found in faith alone, here too, it is you, not I, who take things out of context. In the same Gosho, Nichiren teaches that we awaken faith through doctrine. If the doctrine is incorrect, one's faith will be warped.. Since Nichikan/SGI doctrine is warped, the faith of those who embrace their doctrines is warped and the Gohonzon within is obscured. One last point, meritorious is not upholding "diverging views" but rather the view of Nichiren Daishonin. My hope is that before you retire to the SGI phantom city, you return to read and discuss that which I propose.
Ok to be honest you are welcome to debate me regarding doctrine anytime. I didn't say that diverging views from Nichiren Daishonin was right either. I said diverging viewpoints and experiences is natural even within the one vehicle of buddhism. Its never alright to departure from the kind compassionate spirit of the Buddha Nichiren Daishonin. Your post on George Williams was just cruel, such a heartless rants are in grave departure with the Daishonin. Once you actually made a brave selfless act remonstrating with a homophobic priest, everyone is capable of kindness to some extent such is the spirit of Buddhism. I realize Im lost in your web of slander and you will always find a twist with your tabloid style Im afraid. You can challenge my knowledge in doctrine by private mail but not in the public charade style of your blog. My mistake to dwell here Im truly sorry
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest you research what Nichiren had to say about tthe Soga family. Might welll have been about the Soka family and George M. Williams.
ReplyDeleteplease debate the doctrine. if you are defeated; which you will be, then you should leave the sgi/nst and seek the correct faith and teachings. (no b.s.) cheers.
